This is Steam, a rental company, Early Access games normally never release done version's. Most Early Access games are fronts for other games.. All in all if they ever do release game as done it sure as hec is not going to be in the next 5 yrs.. You should know this.. Basic stuff for steam.. I would suggest you read more about the client then games..

There is no public roadmap so there's no way to tell when an full release can be expected.

You can look through the update history for major patches and see how the game has progressed. I can tell you that the game has consistently been worked on in the time I've following, with major content updates roughly every 6 months. In fact, the next major update is planned to be moved from the experimental branch to the main branch in the new few days.

The game is fully playable and quite fun in its current state. I would have guessed we were approaching a full release a few updates ago, but Mechanistry keeps pushing out new content. So we'll see what they're working on next.

TLDR: No public roadmap. Game is still being worked on consistently. It's fully playable and a lot of fun.

Ready or not just released from ea and baldurs gate 3 did so last year and im pretty sure valheim is not a game that will be ea forever and the devs have a solid plan theyre following. I try and follow respectable devs who are serious about making a finished product xD
Those are the kinds of ea games i play. I think most games that stay in ea perpetually are mostly from devs who arent fully into it, like the 5-10 buck games or flat out scams that you shouldnt be buying anyway. I think i havent experienced your version of the ea situation...

You fall for the trap, that's fine.

I fell for it as well, I just state the obvious and not beat around the bush when it comes to EA games.. I see what 20 at least in EA tab that have been there for over 5 yrs+ and yet they still update every now and then. When a game fully commits here in this platform Steam, then yes I will say nothing and praise the game.. We still have no mod support.. They say they working on it, but I doubt that will ever happen, I herd so many other games state the same just to leave us in limbo.. So ya my statements about EA games are correct..

I still like this game very much, I think the Devs are trying, I just been down this road 2 many times to not give the truth about thing's.

there is so much fun and content and mods that there's lots to do before worrying about when full comes u can suggest ideas and vote on stuff to shape the game i highly recommend getting it and not worry about full release i have 152 hours on the game and still dont get bored

If the the question was " Is the game worth buying?" then I would have to say yes, I would recommend this game to everyone.. I just don't know how they will take having to mess with beta version to continue what they where working on or scrap it all and start with fresh update version.. Many people don't like that.. I don't like it.. I hate it so much.. With that being said this is the only game I have had more good times then bad with updates..

re the bold text: that's just flat out not true. You made it up. I've been doing EA games for years and it's the rare game that doesn't get to 1.0 eventually. Here's a partial list of games I've ridden from EA to release--
airport ceo
parkitect
911: First Responders
Cook, Serve, Delicious
The Long Dark
Railway Empire
Tropico 4/5/6
Recipe for Disaster
Stranded Deep
Frostpunk
There are more, but I don't take notes and memory fades...

Can't answer your question, but the game is already great. Feels like a finished game with (in my opinion) much content. I've seen so many 1.0-releases that have been so much worse than this.

I thought 4 was fine. Let's see what 5 has. What I really want is more monuments to build like PLANETBASE has. And something to do with 100,000 science points I have accumulated.

What are you dreaming ? Plenty of EA games have released last year, including BG3.

No disrespect but it's thinking like this that actually encourages the few devs that work this way. Your statement just isn't factually true. You do you and all that but I'll do me and that means not buying EA until I have some idea of a release plan or target.
