Platforms

I know we have the single square platforms, but how about some that are 2x2 and 3x3 and 4x4 (at the widest) that could be like the normal platforms but no posts in the center so they could be built over certain things without interfering with structures underneath. Maybe make them also 1, 2 and 3 in height at the tallest as well. To balance them a bit maybe make the taller ones require metal and treated planks to build.

Well, there's the metal platform (2 variants for Iron Tooth), but it costs a lot of metal. And it has a central 'leg', instead of legs in the corners.
Other than that, it would have to be a mod - go look if one exists at mod.io

You're not wrong, but it would be a nice QOL buff in game to have some wider platforms that can go over some buildings and expand the vert building
