Water dump setup
Thought I'd share because this is actually a really effective pump method. So you can put one/two Windmills right next to the mechanical water pump and it'll just go periodically at varying efficiency. So it's perfect for a tiny canal and gets rid of the need for a beaver putting a a single tile of water either leaving him in there for eternity or pausing and unpausing.

It's an expensive fix, but once you get to that point I'm sure resources aren't your worry, simplicity is. At least for me it is.

So yeah! If you haven't tried that out yet, it works really well!

Mention to aquatic farm for giving me the idea!

Um... I don't think that's how it works.

The Water DUMP (1x1) does not take power, it takes a worker.
The windmill cannot even be connected to it, since it's cylindrical and doesn't transmit power through walls.

You will need to post proof of your claim, if you want people to take you seriously.

The mechanical one...

Please, in the future, try to pay more attention to proper terminology.

The reason I said water dump setup is because that's the usual one people use and it's a good one.
This is an upgrade to that. For some reason the games terminology flip flops from "water pump" which gives you drinkable water and "Mechanical water pump" which for some reason operates as a water dump and not a water pump.

You will need use your noggin to figure out very simple ♥♥♥♥ if you want people to take you seriously.

Please, in the future, Try to pay more attention to intention instead of getting stuck on terminology.

Another reason I said it this way is because for most people 700 horsepower is an expensive cost from your electrical grid, along with expanding your lines that far. It can make the mechanical water pump seem like it's not worth it.

I see you even added a dam in one section of that "pond" to keep the water level from getting too high that it floods the crops.

I did!

I wasn't sure if it would flood past water line, (First attempt at the mechanical water pump) But I figured it makes no difference to just add it in, so why not.

Your opening post was quite confusing, from the moment you start mentioning that this solution of yours allows the player to avoid having to send a worker in there (or constantly pausing and unpausing "it").

I think I've done my fair share for this community, and since your post is intended as a sort of guide/help for others, it's important to express your thoughts clearly. There is no need to resort to insults and doubts about my 'noggin'...

If you were confused, ask.

You didn't, instead you were condescending and insulting to me. I didn't resort to insults before you.(Yes, saying my suggestion is unworthy of being taken seriously is an insult)

I'm happy you've tried to help the community. That doesn't give you rights to tell others how to do so nor be mean to them.

Read yourself to yourself next time. It might provide insight.
Thanks, OP. Worked perfectly on my map.
