Timberborn

Buildings unconnected when building vertically?
I've just added a rooftop terrace to my warehouse, and a lodge on top of a mirrored lodge. The stairways show the path line, and I have paths underneath my platforms, but it still says they're not connected.

On a previous save, I was able to have functional vertical lodging, provided I built a path all the way around the ground level lodge, barring the stairs of course. Just wondering why it worked on one save and not on this one?

A screenshot to show the problem might be helpful, but from the body of your text it almost sounds like you don't have a path on top of the platforms. Paths have to be on the same level as and touch doors. Having paths under the platforms won't work.
So how do I put the path on the platform? It defaults to ground level.

You just put the path on the platform. Ground level paths are flat roads, platform paths have handrails on the side.

You can see the difference between ground paths and platform paths here.

Thanks. I actually got it on my own before I saw your response.

I just hope my last save works. Had a hard freeze. Not sure if it was the game or Steam itself. Froze so hard Task Manager wouldn't open.

Oof, hate when games lock up like that. You'll probably have an auto save though, but best of luck reloading anyway.
Thank you. Unfortunately, right now it's refusing to load at all. When I do get the task manager up, I say aloud "Ya think?" when it says "Timberborn (not responding)", with a few added expletives. Sits on the loading screen forever and no music coming in later.
