Works great on Mac M1 Pro
I'm having an issue where no matter what launch option I use, I always get the "Rosetta: On. Reduced performance." warning on the game's start screen. How do I get the game to run natively?
I've tried reinstalling Steam, and I've tried all the "Launch Options" in the settings menu.
I'm running on a:
16" MacBook Pro M2 Max
Sonoma 14.5
64GB of Ram
Thanks.
That's the exact thing I was trying to fix when I came across my problem. No matter what, it always shows Rosetta.
1.
2.
I am assuming the second error is Unity's error handling firing, and then being prevented from connecting due to Sequoia's new permissions around local network access. I've looked into the MacOS logs and it seems like TCC is preventing the connections from going out.
I've tried launching in all three launch modes (normal, workaround, safe mode) with similar result. I've never installed any mods.
Hi, thanks for the report, could you send us full logs at logs@mechanistry.com?
To play experimental Update 6 with the Ladder/Harmony mod QoL configuration, I have to play TB in the MacOS Workaround mode on my M1 iMac. No problem with that, however it would help if there was a way to tweak the desktop game icon to launch in that mode rather than having to go to the Steam client Library for this great game to launch via the Play button. I have checked the "always launch in Workaround" mode so I don't have to choose among startup configs when clicking Play, but I would like to simply double-click the desktop icon to directly launch the game in Workaround mode. TY... BTW, Update 6 with the Ladder mod is awesome.
It will look like it's starting timberborn, but will go back to desktop after a few seconds. Repeating this often makes the game start, and run without any issues for hours.
Starting in workaround does not work, starting in safe mode works.
