How do you get the beavers to make baby beavers?

I built a dam and make it fine through the dry seasons, but all my beavers are dying of old age and I have no children, I have over 500 carrots and plenty of housing?

Do you have any leisure buildings?

1 firepit or campfire, It didn't really matter since the demo ends after the 2nd dry season, left me wanting more

check to make sure that your housing has vacancies. if the housing is full, there is no room for kids

campfire should be in the middle of all houses to provide faster access time. not too far away. let them gain leisure stat faster. have at least 1 campfire for every 8-10 population to speed up population growth XD

Also make sure they have time to use it. Someone jack up their working hours to 18 or 20 hours, leavign them only time to sleep, not time to socialice and if they don't socialice they don't make baby beavers.
