Water Pump That Pump Upwards?
Similar To The High Power Shaft

I've been thinking of making a beaver-labor intensive setup where I have a water pump on water, then a veritable army of beavers hauling that water to the top of a hill to a water dump to cause flow for water wheels. I hadn't needed it though.

As for pumps and pipes, I believe that is a popular suggestion that the devs are aware of.

I want to be able to use wind power to go uphill at night when the beavers are asleep and ignoring the buildings, and then use the water during the day when the power needs are greater. Basically like utilities do with hydro dams :)
Need more hydraulic ram pumps. Its the proper tech level for a beaver: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFdyqTGx32A

Perhaps a second, researchable pump building could be added, one which requires some power, but which can pump into pipes (that are similar to the power transmission gears in use). When active, it pumps water through the pipes, with the water being pumped into other buildings (in particular, water buildings like barrels, water dumps, etc). This would include one pipe which requires power, but raises the water up one level so that it can pipe beyond that.

The Irontooth could perhaps get ones for going more than one level up at a time so that they don't have to build "water stairs" for cliffs, and could perhaps have a more powerful version of the second pump itself.

Regardless, the second pump type and the associated pipes would prove useful for reducing the need for water hauling at the expense of needing power, and would also make transporting water between districts a lot more useful.

I'd like something like that. I don't know about piping system, but I'd like a building that outputs the water at least one level higher, and is Powered. And another, that uses Power to produce drinkable water. I want to avoid pipes, as it'd feel a bit too much like the current power shaft power system, yet ANOTHER 1x1 tile item to manage moving around.

Basically, I'd like a lot more Power-based buildings that can automate a lot of things that currently need a grown beaver in it. I'd love to see further automation as an option, rather than just rely on more bodies. I'd want progress from needing a majority of beavers just to produce water and food, to needing less and less of them for food/water and more "specialized" beavers to run automation producing factories. Automated farms (tiny wooden beaver bots that "recharge" back at the "Automated Farm" building, for example.

IMO automation should be a factions "thing" and it wouldn't be hard to nudge the Ironteeth in that direction.

I... suppose. I'd LOVE more automation options, but I don't want that to be "exclusive" to ironteeth. Also, I don't think they need any more incentives to play.
