As for pumps and pipes, I believe that is a popular suggestion that the devs are aware of.
The Irontooth could perhaps get ones for going more than one level up at a time so that they don't have to build "water stairs" for cliffs, and could perhaps have a more powerful version of the second pump itself.
Regardless, the second pump type and the associated pipes would prove useful for reducing the need for water hauling at the expense of needing power, and would also make transporting water between districts a lot more useful.
Basically, I'd like a lot more Power-based buildings that can automate a lot of things that currently need a grown beaver in it. I'd love to see further automation as an option, rather than just rely on more bodies. I'd want progress from needing a majority of beavers just to produce water and food, to needing less and less of them for food/water and more "specialized" beavers to run automation producing factories. Automated farms (tiny wooden beaver bots that "recharge" back at the "Automated Farm" building, for example.
