very excited to try the demo once you add inverted vertical camera for the right stick :)

it also crashes on launch with:

"All resolution switches have failed
Screen: could not switch resolution (2560x1440 fs=1 hz=0)"

if my monitor is set to higher than 60hz

GTX970 with drivers from a couple months ago, Win 7, 144hz Gsync monitor.

same as above, can't launch the game with my default monitor settings

So we're aware of this problem, I myself have a 2560x1440 144Hz monitor, we found out that it's a bug specific to the beta version of Unity we're working on, we've reported the problem directly to Unity. So the problem will be solved for the release of Crumble but unfortunatly we have to wait for Unity to release a more stable version for us to fix the demo. For now you have to set your monitor to 60 FPS or change your resolution to something lower than 2560x1440 for the demo. Hope i've answer future questions on it as well.
And we're working on adding a template that switch vertical camera direction :happymeat:

I really like the game. I played the ludum dare version and I enjoyed it a lot, so it was a pleasant surprise when I found out that this existed! I love the new/improved mechanics, as well as the improved aesthetic. The environment look really cool, good job. I also feel like the tongue grab makes the game way more fun, and adds and easy to learn hard to master type mechanic, which is awesome. the only gripe that I sort of have is that camera felt finicky on the turns at first, but I got used to it quickly so I don't think it's really an issue. Also, I really like the sound track, the song for the first area fits so well with it and really completes the aesthetic. The only issue with that is that it occasionally restarts too fast, or skips a beat or something, and I feel like that hurts the flow of it a little bit. also, I found out that in the first room where you spawn in the tutorial, you can use your tongue to go around the back cliff and up inside the wall through the back of the geometry. once again, nice game, I plan to get it once it comes out

p.s. I found the frog :)

alright, after having played through a second time, I realized that I really enjoyed exloring the different areas of the game, not just finding places in the timed phase, but also just wandering around on the grassy areas. I think adding a few more ways to explore would be really neat. I also found out that I like the tongue mechanic even more than I thought, as once you master it it becomes both an extremely useful tool and extremely fun to mess around with.

I was getting into the demo right up until the timed section with the cannons... then I just got frustrated.
The time feels way too long to me, no matter how careful I am in trying to keep as much play area still standing as I can, I just can't get through it. For an introduction to the game, this is a bit harsh.
Dying and retrying repeatedly did highlight a few bugs though, like cannonballs and geometry not always resetting when you respawn.
There's also a small ledge on the edge of the platform you respawn on that triggers the cannons when you move onto it, but not the timer.

After the release of the demo I realised that the survival part wasn't a good element to introduce to new players. It is now replaced by an objective you have to complete to finish the level ! But the survival part isn't completely gone, you may find a reworked one for a certain boss section ;)
Thanks for your input on the demo !

I like the idea of the game, good job!
But that camera needs some updates!
( most of the time was rolling not knowing where )

Gave up after the canons started to blow me up!
( probably surviving 30 sec would be enough + when the blocks start to fly - camera gets out of control )

Loved the demo, was not expecting the cannon level (took me about half a dozen tries). Was having a joy just zooming around. Nice thing you got here, folks. Reminds me of Flower. Keep it up!

Nice job on the demo!

Personally I think the tongue mechanic needs some tuning. It does not have the same "bouncy" feel as the main jumping mechanic.

Keep it up.

is the lag on the input intentional ? because i found it unbearable when mixed with the high sensitivity of the ball dude using a controller.

Also maybe just the demo but on Linux the settings don't stick they keep reverting to ultra + x8 AA and that's too much for my potato machine. but potato setting won't stick. Also go a hard lock and had to hard reset the machine when trying to change graphics setting one time :/

Ubuntu 19.04
760gtx Nvidia 418.56
8gb RAM
AMD x4 CPU ( old model )

btw it's a cute game and my friend wants to play too but we can't as it stands.

The lag input seems to be a bug. You can try what've suggested to another linux user:
In the launch option try forcing opengl: "-force-opengl"
I think I should make opengl the default for linux users :p2cube:
Hope this helps!
