I know Valve cancelled their VirtualLink cable, but I wanted to know if anyone knows if this VirtualLink cable could work with the Valve Index. I would like to get it, but I do not know enough about VirtualLink to know if it will work. Thanks in advance for any input / help.

I don't know, but this cable looks unlikely to solve the problem given that the breakaway port does not use usb-c.

The company in question DOES have this also listed though: https://www.bizlinktech.com/products/detail/1332/VirtualLink%E2%84%A2+Interface+Adapter

Which while it doesn't interface with the breakaway directly, you might be able to pull some cable gymnastics to convert it down to a usb-c virtuallink line (utilizing that other cable as well to do the "last mile").

(That being said, a lot of these video adapters are not bi-directional, so no promises.)

The part of the cable that connects to the HMD is is called OCuLink. I don’t know what type of connector that is. It’s different than USB-C
