Hi PuffyLunk,

What good games have hit the scene lately?

I've more or less given up on VR for a couple different reasons.

When I upgraded from 1080ti to a 3080, I started getting that vicious purple spike constantly. It's somewhat fixed now but not really.

No games can keep my interest and focus for more than 20 minutes anymore.
Not since I've completed all the "big ones", HL:A, Walking Dead, Boneworks etc etc.

I have over 240 VR games in my library, half of them I haven't even tried because I got sick and tired of unaligned hands for Index and just in general all the useless bloatware with a pricetag with their steam-thumbnails that looks as if created by Microsoft Paint and neoncolors.

So, enlighten me please, if you have the time, because besides the fact that After The Fall looks like a fun game, I have already finished both Arizona Sunshine and Surviv3 and neither of them did anything for me. So pretty sure After the Fall won't either.

You kind of have to do your own research, not every game is something you'll find youtubers tubing....

Also: your response reeks of "So what's so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good about it?"

i'm kinda with you there. That stupid one where you view from the Security cameras was garbage. Have you tried fallout 4VR. I have played F4 three times and now in VR its so good! Make sure Piper is modded to be nude! If you want a game that goes on for months and months Fallout 4 and Borderlands 3 VR both great. As soon as i have finished I'm giving the L.A Noir a shot.

I have about 500 VR titles and I can tell you at least 100 are solid well worth your time. and yes I already bought that game on the oculus store and in steam.

I just picked up E:D Odyssey and it's pretty great so far, but I'm sure you have that. I'll prob jump to star citizen for that itch. I just bought a brand new X-56 rhino for $248 on black friday

The tank games I mentioned probably, and there's a mech game too that might work for hotas

Star Citizen is not VR... and VR makes a big difference in the enjoyment of air & space combat/flight games.

The immersion with a VR headset on while you're sitting in your computer chair with a HOTAS setup is unparalleled. Your chair feels like it's in the cockpit of a starship...

tried it with SW: Squadrons and tho I agree with you, my stomach was in the back of my throat after about 20 minutes of 360 degrees of spinning lol

haven't tried it with E:D, yet.

"Your chair feels like it's in the cockpit of a starship..."

yeah, I'm already going over the costs in my head to see what a 360 degree gyro flight chair would cost with hydraulics....

Prob only 20-30k, seems they are only custom built

You're taking this to an unreasonable extreme. I'm feeling plenty immersed with my comfortable computer chair, a VR headset, and HOTAS. Not the slightest bit interested in chair hydraulics or whatever you're talking about.

I feel way more immersed this way than I do playing FPS games standing up and unable to move around much because my room just isn't big enough for real room-scale VR..

To my imagination, my computer chair is the pilot seat in the starship...

No, I'm really doing this but it's okay if you feel that you don't need that level of realism. Enjoy your cockpit!

and it's not "chair hydraulics", it's a gyro cockpit that spins and swivels as your position changes on screen....

The VR FPS games won't be even close to as good as VR + HOTAS in a computer chair with spaceship games until Valve or Oculus find a way to let people play wirelessly outside in their yard or driveway where they have more space to walk around in the game world.

I'll just plug it in in my shop, plenty room there!
