Valve Index Headset

Index with Vive Controllers + Audio
So before anything, The VIVE Controllers are meant for Beat Saber only at this point as the Index controllers are uncomfortable and inaccurate for me.

However, I cannot get them to work anymore for some reason. They pair yet they do not want to operate or be tracked. Could it be the 2.0 Lighthouses? It's the original VIVE wands. If anyone could help me that would be awesome.

Also having issues with the audio, I'm having to restart the headset constantly to get the Index audio working properly. Is there a way to fix this? It's an issue that will get annoying quickly. This issue however can be avoided for now, I'm more concerned about the VIVE wands with the Index Headset simply for Beat Saber.

Yes, the original Vive wands do not work with 2.0 bases, they only support 1.0 bases. The only Vive wands with 2.0 sensors in them are the Vive Pro ones. You'd have to use v1.0 bases to still use your old Vive wands.

The audio is wonky, they disconnect the audio device every time SteamVR is shut down. I use VoiceMeeter and have to re-select it every time I start SteamVR. This was not the case for the Vive, and it's an annoyance 😅

BOOOO. Well hell, thanks. Will 1.0 and 2.0 base stations work together? I know you can have more stations with 2.0 but can you mix them and have four. Two 2.0's and Two 1.0's?

The audio issue is quite annoying indeed. What do you use VoiceMeeter for? I have it too but use it for my surround sound, are you using it for VR??

The v1 and v2 base stations work differently when it comes to sync, I'm pretty sure tracked devices cannot run both modes at the same time. But, v2 tracked devices do support running on v1 base stations, v1 devices cannot run on v2 base stations though, that's the differentiator.

Regarding VoiceMeeter, I've used it for many years now to output to speakers, wireless headset, VR headset, transducer, all at the same time. Also for managing multiple microphones and never having to change devices in applications.

I had the Vive Wireless Adapter before this, and that also had me select the audio device in VM, but with the Index I expected it to act like the Vive while wired, but alas... not the case 😅
