it would be nice if they could announce an estimated release date so I'll know if I should wait
I mean I already have the index for 2 years, which I love.
I'm thinking either upgrading right now to vive pro 2.
or waiting for INDEX 2 (as in second generation)
I have the Pimix 8K+ that will run both my Oculus software and Steam VR. I do not use my Rift S because you need a Facebook account know. Have you heard about the Pimix headset?
I have thousands of hours in VR.
stop being so condescending.
I agree valve's quality control with the controllers was very awful, and the glare is bad.
I still think it's a good headset
from reviews I see vive pro 2 has a lot of glare too though
keep in mind you have a lot more money than I do
Current SteamVR hardware statistics referenced from here for July 2021:
- Valve Index HMD: 16.23%
- HTC Vive: 10.37%
- HTC Vive Pro: 1.99%
- HTC Vive Cosmos: 1.78%
- HTC Vive Pro 2: 0.34%
- HTC Vive Elite: 0.08%
And if you think Valve are spoofing the numbers, why then are the two leading headsets both from Facebook? 🤣It is really good in almost every way except that god awful glare (which I only notice in certain situations anyway), and the joysticks on the controllers.
As willing to believe you as I am, I can't help but notice your condescending attitude and your narcissism. I see you have done some research but are you sure there was no bias in your research?
