Valve Index Headset
How's the edge blurry compared to Vive pro?
Anyone compared the 2 in terms of blurry edges?
I have no complain with my rift cv1, but with vivo pro, everything is terribly blurry outside the center of the lens. Is this edge blurry also an issue with index? Or say, if I rate oculus rift as 10, vive as 1, what's the score for index?

I had a Vive and a Vive Cosmos.

As far as I know HTC is using the same lenses for all their headsets.

If that is correct, the answer to this question is: the difference is very huge. The Index lenses are in case of sharpness outside of the center spot alot better than the HTC lenses.

The blurry edge is caused by a bad IPD setting (which isn't adjustable on the Vive).
The Index does not have this issue, just adjust the IPD to what your eyes IPD is.

Vive pro does have this knob.
I only ask about the lens issue, not the "fit". I get the same issue with only 1 eye open and move around my HMD

Again, I mean it's not as adjustable as the Index. The Index can get up to 70 IPD, and the increased field of view makes the blur non-existent.

Thanks for the info on the IPD. But again, my question is totally irrelevant to IPD. Let me clarify, my question is only about the blurry caused by the single lens itself. It's similar as you can see the circles on the lens, and it's caused by how they manufactured the lens.
If you put a magnifier in front of one of your eye, for example, you can see the edge is a bit blurry (varies depend on the magnitude, distance between the lens and you pupil, and build quality).
Please, if you have both HMDs, please help to compare the 2 as there is absolutely no result currently on the internet.

Thanks for the answer
I own the Vive Pro and the Index. There are quite a few comparisons online. Visually, this one is the best: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaMyW6mtApg

I can confirm that the Index is sharper, but it's the FOV that is a total game changer (much less tunnel-vision). Unfortunately, the colors and blacks aren't as good, but that's unavoidable going from OLED to LCD.
