HMD not recognized by my PC (error 208)

My Index has arrived 2 days ago and I've been since fighting with my PC. It just doesn't want to recognize it. The USB port is working properly (every driver is green in USBDeview), but the Displayport doesn't want to be recognized. I have 2 ports, I have tried plugging into both of them (my monitor is working with both), but it doesn't show up at the "Devices". I even tried with dual monitors (I'm using only one) and the are working simultaneously. I have updated every single driver, even my boss. I have formatted and reinstalled my Windows, but no luck. I'm starting running out of ideas about what can be the problem. The lights are blue on the headset. I have written a letter to support on the first day, but no answear yet.

did you split the connector in the middle of the long cable and replug it in. see if that works. Do you see the headset tracking and can you see it tracking in the live view? (right click and click on "display VR view")

Yeah, already tried split and reconnect the breaker a few times, no luck. I'm getting the "Display not connected" error message (208) in SteamVR, so I can't see anything in tracking.
My main problem is that it's not even recognized by my computer. It should come up as a second monitor first in display options and as a device in the device manager without even starting SteamVR.

same here. been playing alyx last few nights. go to plug in - gone. error 108... any clues? reinstalled steam vr, many a reboot and unplugging with no luck... HELP!

same boat here originally with error 108 and now after reinstalling steamvr 20+ times, getting please plug in your vr headset with no status change

anyone stumbles on this. a long unplug solved it ffir me. prob a few mins oddly...
