Report a translation problem
You can use 2.0 devices with 1.0 base stations (I realize this doesn't help you, but I just wanted to fully explain the compatibility for anyone else who reads this).
You basically either need the full Index kit, or alternatively you could buy a single 1.0 base station to replace your broken one and then buy the Index headset only (which allows you to keep your old controllers).
I spoke with Vive support to get a new base station but they are out of stock where I live and according to the support I'm unable to purchase new from other regions.
I could possible purchase a base station from another third party but CBA with the hassle :)
It seems a full kit is the way I'm gonna go.
