What is the best Minidisplayport to Displayport cable adapter for Valve Index?

Hi All

I just to get the Valve Index and very excited but since I have a Dell Alienware R4 and it has a Minidisplayport connection and the Index has the displayort one , for this reason, What is the best cable adapter for it? It would be Male to Male?

Hi. Unfortunate I live in Argentina and it takes some weeks in getting it, for it, I cannot confirm you that this cable works fine with this issue. I tried with Minidisplay port adapter and I had some little pixels artifacts and the headset turn off during a few secons and turn on again. Do you have the same problem than me? Maybe and if you live in USA, you can get more fast than me and see if it works. Equally, I will ask again the person that advice it if he has the same problem with us or please let me know if you have some better question to do to him. Hopefully that Valve help us to fix this problem soon Thanks for your time

i have been preparing for my valve index and havent been able to get a concreat solution from the comunity (but i might have missed something) but i have found this company that makes a verry small minidp to dp adaptor that is pin to pin and has a verry short run which would meen there is near to no chance of interfearence like the grey fuzz on the hmd. it is verry similar in design to the one used for the rift s and i have conatacted the company for a technical specifications sheet to determine wheteher not it is capabel fo 4k 60hz.
although i can no test it as i will be only getting the valve index for christmas and then a new laptop which needes the adaptor in juin i like to plan ahead so i will keep you updated on the spec sheet.

But your "SHVP BS10-60001 Fiche Mini DisplayPort" looks like it might work well, and at 4 Euro, you can't go wrong!

update on the one from star tech thy have confirmed that it will work at 4k 60hz and as it is a short pin to pin adapter it will have minimal interfearence
