Can you remove the speakers?
If not, I'll stick to the PRO EYE...
My sennie headphones sound better than vr headset speakers..

Doesn't look like it, but they can be moved out of the way. On the other hand the sound on these is actually not bad, I use Audio Technica Headphones for my normal pc gaming use and they are almost the same

Well I use (Sennheiser HD 820s).. And they will sound way better than these crappy vr speakers, It would feel weird switching from great to ugh..

Thanks for the response though, would moving them allow for space to wear the headset? (headphones)
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

The speakers are removable with a torx-driver.

Thanks for the reply Eric. Do you know what size torx screw it is? It is very small and I want to get the right size tool. Also, I noticed the jack for my headphone (Bose QC) does not fit into the aux output because the jack contact is not long enough to make complete contact. Could you recommend an alternative jack that will fit?

I removed the Valve Index Speakers with a 1.5 torx-driver.

I use the Bose QC35 headphones which require a 2.5 mm input to the headphones while the Valve Index uses a 3.5 mm connection. A 2-ring 2.5 to 3.5 mm audio cable [male to male] is required.

These cables wear out within a month because the wire-connector to the Valve Index HMD ends up being bent. This will lead to only hearing sound from one side before total failure. So I keep a few of the 2.5 to 3.5 mm cables on hand for quick replacement. They do not cost much.

The "crappy" VR speakers are actually quite amazing.

What the hell are you even on about. I asked this question because I want to remove the crappy headphones from VR headset, like I can with my pro..

Oh and my 820S and more powerful I can promise you and better than anything you own SON!.. next time read the damn thread! Oh and my "sennheiser 820s" are more powerful and better than most headsets on the market... yes I'm sure there's a few better ones, but still.

p.s

I've blocked you though I'm sure even after I've said I'll block you, I bet within the next hour or later, you'll still reply because as a child you need a final response.. I wont see it.. learn what blocking does!

Are a 1.5 Torx a T4, T5 or T6?
