Linkbox?

So I am thinking about getting the Headset and I do have a question.
I am currently using a og vive headset.
Like anyone who own a vive knows there is a linkbox where the cables go in and then from there to the PC.
How is it with the index headset?
Does it also has a linkbox?
Is there anything i need beside the headset? (and I dont mean lighthouse boxex or controllers).

The Index does not have a link box, you have a headset cable that plugs straight into a Trident adapter, basically a short cable that splits into power, USB and DisplayPort.

Two, USB and DisplayPort. Power comes from a power adapter.

Thank god. I had the 208 error with my OG Vive link box from day 1 and never arsed to fix contact support about it since plugging the HDMI directly into the GPU fixed it. Useless little box except for the additional 4 feet it would have given me.
