I bought the game on GOG too for good measure and it worked perfectly fine, no issues whatsoever.
That got me thinking, I then used the GOG exe with the Steam version, and that works, but obviously that disabled my multiplayer for the Steam version.
Then I thought, why not disable the Steam overlay option for the game, and PRESTO ! My Steam version launches levels now WITHOUT crashing. Really stoked to have it working finally, but yeah, for some reason the overlay causes my issue.
Don't know if you guys want to try it out as well, maybe it's the cause of the game not launching on your end too.
Sadly I'm running without Steam Overlay and mine still continues to crash so i'm out of options here
Damn, really sorry to hear. Add me on Steam, I want you to test something.

When I try to launch the game, the icon appears on my taskbar for about 5 seconds, then goes away and nothing happens.
I've tried launching directly from the game folder, Steam, and my desktop. I've tried every compatibility setting. I've tried launching it as an administrator. Nothing has managed to get the game to even launch.
I've looked online, and it seems many people are having the same issue, but no one seems to have a fix. This also apparently is the result of the recent multiplayer patch, but I just bought this, so I have no idea if it would have worked beforehand on my PC. (That said, the Steam version of Battlefront 2 works on my PC with no issues)
