What is the highest resolution on Steam?
Hi I was just playing this on my Xbox One X since there was no steam versions available before. It is available enhanced to 4K resolution with improved anti aliasing and widescreen support on the Xbox One X.

Is it the same for steam?

I don't think so and even if it is, it's likely to look stretched. You should be able to edit the game using launch options if no in-game setting exists and you want to try it despite the probable flaws.

Edit: using launch options to change in-game resolution does not work at all

Mine goes to native (1080p), but it's stretched. I think widescreen support is only on the xbox version.

Surely you can use DSR with this?

It looks incredibly weird. UI scales correctly to fit 16:9 resolutions but the game itself stretches the ingame graphics

Works fine in 2560x1440. But i did notice some effects that did not get applied.

It looks like I should just stick to my Xbox One X version then. It looks great in 4K resolution with improved anti-aliasing and widescreen support on the Xbox One X.

Can you play the 3 single player modes(Historical Campaign, Galactic Conquest and Instant Action modes) as well as the split screen option on steam like you can do on the Xbox One X?

My biggest issue with the Xbox One X versions is that it run at 30FPS and has no online features.

It runs 30FPS? Seriously?

That is right. Unfortunately Xbox One X has no official online servers for OG Xbox games. However you can use a third party app Xlinx Kai to play online with other players by making the console think you are using System Link.

At the moment I believe the steam version multiplayer mode can only be played via third party workarounds as well posted on one of the threads yesterday, so the online restriction is similar in both versions.

Xbox One X is capable of 60 fps for some games, although I am not sure SW Battlefront Classic is one of them. It is up to the developer to allow that option, and they usually don't do that for most games on consoles.

List as of Oct 2018

SW Battlefront 2 Classic on Xbox One X is unfortunately limited to 30 fps indeed so it is probably the same for SW Battlefront 1. That was probably the most the developer allowed for the console version.

On the other hand, I read in SW Battlefront 2 steam discussion forums that the split screen option that you can play on consoles is not available on steam. Apparently the code was never made available for the PC version.

I hope the widescreen streching will be fixed. Another thing that I noticed from the X1 video above is that Jabba's Palace is missing from the map list, so the reboot is not updated to the latest version? It's kinda strange...

That is rather strange, yeah. I suppose it's nothing new though, we've seen SWBF2 released on platforms such as Origin where they are using out of date files.

Mine is 1920x1080
