Ori and the Will of the Wisps Patch 3.1

Hey Everyone,
Wanted to let you know we’ve released a smaller patch that addresses a few issues seen in PC Patch 3:

• "Black\Missing Backgrounds" issue is now fixed
  
• Loading of the game resulting in a black screen is now fixed
  
• Audio Quality settings default to a value that better fits your computer spec
  
• Sharpness setting can be tuned to a lower value to look smoother on lower resolutions
  
• Better handling of GC collection: Should now be better for faster players and lower end machines

On top of this we noticed that while Patch 3 offers big improvements in image quality and performance for the vast majority of users, several reported the following:

• Loading the game results in a "white screen" that follows a freeze \ crash of the game
  
• Lower performance / framerate

To troubleshoot, please make sure you are not playing on High Graphics Mode or Audio Quality or a very high resolution or 200% resolution scale.

If that doesn’t address your specific config’s issues, we’ve made the previous Patch 2 available to you on a Steam branch:

• Right click on the game in your Library, click Properties
  
• Go to the Betas tab
  
• Choose Patch2 from the drop down
  
• Download
  
• Enjoy :)

Thank you so much for the lower sharpening window for lower resolutions. I never bothered to complain about it but it seems like you guys care, very sweet.

Thanks guys for this amazing game! This and Blind Forest are two of my favorite games of all time. The only complaint I have is that the "Immortal" achievement is too easy to get due to the backup saves feature. I completed the game without shards or spirit light and got the immortal achievement just by loading from the backup save every time I died.

Honestly this game deserves GOTY 2020. Though most of the games on the list are good, this one is better. And it's WAY better than a certain game that doesn't deserve any award.
