background looks like its in low resolution?
the beautiful backgrounds are all pixelated for me, is this intended?

i know blur when i see it, this definetly inst it, i can literally see the pixels, if it was blur i wouldnt be seeing much of anything, like in hollow knight for example

It is depth of field blur, but I agree the background quality doesn't look great.

but i dont remember ori 1 having pixelated backgrounds, it must be some sort of depth of field error then
I have this issue too and it's really annoying. I mean, for such an artistic focused game this looks like a major flaw.

Honestly I would like to have an option to turn off all the DoF altogether.

when done right it doenst look that pixelated though, look at hollow knight for example, their backgrounds are all blurred yet they still look good, this has to be some sort of error
Never mind, there's a Resolution Scaling option in the settings menu. Setting it to 200% fixes the pixelation issues.
