Stuck on Authenticating?

Can't get into the game. Please help, I've seen a few other threads with no answers either.

I'm also having this issue. I eventually gave up and tried to just download it on game pass, but it refused to even start. I even tested downloading other games, and they worked just fine. This game is cursed. Hopefully someone can help

I installed the game for the first time and got endless authentication right after launch. Only launching steam offline or turning off Internet before starting the game helps to solve this.

for some reason bethesda didnt think this might happen but when i first downloaded the game i signed into my bethesda account and linked my steam by using the steam browser while in game at the authenticating screen and then i turned my computer off and then back on and it worked, stupid fix i know but if it works it works

How did u do that, when I and my buddies only see blank, white page when trying to enter Bethesda page from overlay browser?

A little follow up. Turns out it was a Windows 7 issue. When I upgraded to Win10 I was able to pass Authentication without problems. I guess it's not an issue anymore really, cause Steam will force everyone to upgrade eventually.

Must've broken in an update because it's officially supported and I played it fine on 7 before.

I am having this problem, updates have changed the game . Improved with issues like this one.

There is no other solution: u either get Windows 10 or 11 or u play offline.

i turned league of legends on before turning wolfenstein and it worked

Having same issue on Windows 11. No other game has an issue connecting to online.

Forgot to post my answer, I fixed it by adding the game to Windows Defender's whitelist/exclusions.

I must be stupid, I can't get it to work. Completely turning off Windows Defender firewall didn't make a difference.

I solved my problem by disabling Killer Network Service in System Configuration. If you need more help or info, I posted the entire solution in the discussions.
