Level cap and weapon mastery cap.
As the title suggests I am curious what is the level cap (if any) and what is the weapon mastery level cap (if any). I managed to get my knife to weapon mastery level 11, at which point i got intrigued since judging by the achievements 10 seemed to be the limit. Discuss.

All weapons have Mastery Level Cap 25, only UBERHAMMER have Mastery Level Cap 10.

On Max Level all weapons have +100% Damage (level weapon bonus).

So how about the character level cap?

or is there a cap for level damage bonus? ( or how does level works?)

well it is obvious so far that your damage increases with your level 2% for each level. By my calculation level 50 isn't enough to unlock all skills (and there is an achievement for this), so i see two options. Level 50 IS the cap and the rest of the skills need to be unlocked via points rewarded from quests (also 50 x2% means 100% bonus damage which would make logical sense); or the level goes beyond 50 to either another finite number like 60 or whatever, or even no level cap at all, but the damage would end up being capped cuz otherwise you would end up one shoting absolutely anything and everything given you played for long enough to get there.

Since enemies scale with your level, I don't think one-shotting would be a thing.
And after unlocking all skills, I think leveling would be kinda pointless, since the % of damage increase is there, to kill higher level enemies faster and balance out the defense of the scaling enemies.
Which means, every level up increases your damage by 2% and the defense of your enemies by 2%.
So in the end, it would be a number just for show... like ranks in "Monster Hunter".

Hi guys, Reached level 58 so I think there's no level cap. Or at least it's not level 50 :)

Currently 75. 80 is needed for getting all the abilities. As for the weapons, it's as Samum stated: Überhammer maxes out at 10, others at 25.

Raise your hand if your first weapon to 25 was the Knife/hatchet.

I did not even realize that was an option because I have spent almost the entire game smashing LMB on my nadel sturmgewehr

That sounds neat. I'll have to try semi-auto Sturmgewehr myself sometime.

I've been liking it, the penetration is useful, even more so with the xray scope.

Hand raised.
It oneshots almost all enemies even without the lvl 30 melee perk. Way too good.
Uberhammer as 2nd since it needs only 50 kills.

Do it. I've never come back to auto fire since I bought that. Another very good upgrade.

I hope so.

Just don't like the unlimited damage bonus (like New Dawn) and enemy/player hp bonus (like Fallout 4), an action game always needs an end-game balance

Now take 101 level. After 100 lv - my sister do +200% damage (for sister level). After 100 level % damage do not grow.
With 25 weapon level +100% damage (for weapon level)
Weapon's Steir Set get +10% damage

Total any firearm weapon get +310% MAX damage.
