Co-op Not Working

So whats been happening is that I own the Deluxe edition and have been trying to invite my buddy who downloaded the demo version. Every time I try to invite him it just says "connecting", then says that he couldn't connect to me like I was never there. We both have linked accounts steam and Bethesda, we both have the same privacy setting and I can't find anything to help me solve this, it seems like we are the only ones with this issues and I really really DON'T wanna refund this game, I wanna play it so bad.

having the same issue but with a friend who bought the game as well, both set to public, both have linked accounts, show up as online in friends list, and when we search in find players we can find each other but only get the option to close, invites sent out from both sides and we both get "this session no longer exists". Reset steam, verified in steam that our profiles are both public, both have open NATs, tried all the "fixes" ive been able to find and nothing has changed still unable to play together.

Have already refunded this game, and will not even put more effort into it, play time says 64 minutes, and not a single minute was actually playing, just trying to connect with a friend. Terrible system for co-op.

Same. I just get "session no longer exists" over and over, with someone in the same room.

Been having a separate issue, since my friend and I can't friend eachother on Bethesda.net we haven't been able to find each others games ingame, since for some dumb reason we can't invite through Steam.

Same here. anyone please post if you get a update from bethesda or something. I Have a support ticket in so hopefully that goes somewhere...will keep ya informed

no friends appear at all for me, in either buddy or normal invite list. complete joke.

Same here cannot seem to be able to join my friend ,. always stuck to connecting and then the game session is no longer available. Annoying.

finally got co-op working. I did three things.
1) set all steam profile privacy options to public.
2) started solo game mode and then quit to menu.
3) manually search & added friend. (beth username)
they appeared in my previously blank list & connected.

probably won't help but can't hurt trying. good luck!

I was having same issue, but resolved this!!!!

This error actually comes from having incorrect Timezone settings on Windows. Adjust your clock settings to show the correct timezone and this problem goes away!

Wait who's time zone there's or mine? my time zone is correct for where i live,

Just set to automatic time and timezone settings in windows. That sorts it out.

i don't think thats the correct answer. it's more about all your public settings in steam, with that it will list all friends, no matter if they own the game or not. what it won't show are buddy pass users those you invite thru the buddy pass option in the menu.
