Level 999

So I reached the 999 level (playing Challenging difficulty) after a few weeks of grinding; If you were able to start a New Game++ at level 999 you’d run out of bullets. The only weapons that can put a dent in the NPC’s at this level are the kraftwerk guns which are Laserkraftwerk, Dieselkraftwerk, Electrokraftwerk, my weapon of choice is the Übergewehr.

Trying to head shot any of the NPC’s becomes a pointless exercise but you can take out the dogs with a headshot from an Axe or Knife. Funnily enough if you melee the NPC and shoot them with their own gun then it’s a one shot job.

As you continue to play on after reaching 999 it will still say level 999! +200 Silver Coins each time you...um, Level Up! Taking down a Zitadelle nets me 80,400, a Zerstörer is 100500 and for Jägers you get 20,080; Raiding Loot Crates yields 10,040 and 20,080.

I have repeated the original levels and to be honest I don’t think level 999 was being applied when I did. I select the level and choose the difficulty as “Challenging” and it plays like it did during the game and I noticed the NPC’s were not as difficult to put down as they are when you just choose a district from the Map and travel there as normal.

Was it worth it? All I’ll say is, like everyone else I had lots of time to waste and boredom does some strange things to you.

There is a point where you have a slight advantage on the NPC's but at level 999 the Jager ladies for example, will simply laugh at regular bullets and dispatch you with one shot.

Your only the 2nd person I've heard of to reach lvl999. I'll bet even the dev's were surprised. It mush have taken you forever. I've played with the other guy back when he was on his way to that level. I was somewhere around lvl 200 at that time. The combat was very difficult, I was dead within seconds of playing. Once your weapons reach max levels everything changes. I would not care to work that hard. Well done on your goal.

A game++ at level 999 would be pointless because it would be just like tossing popcorn at the NPC's; actually the Popcorn would do more damage than the Guns.

I spent about two hours a day just grinding out of boredom and I did record one of the NPC's Say "That's cheating" when I cloaked and for that alone it was worth it.

I would have loved to have heard that. I forget where I stopped playing. But once I maxed everything, it was just a show piece. From there I worked with new players getting them started.

Hence why level scaling is trash.
