The connection to ''Steam'' has been lost

Hey guys, i bought this game, have played it a few hours with no problem. However now suddenly whenever i want to start a game (wether single player or multiplayer) it says The connection to ''steam'' has been lost Ive tried this on my other system and it does exactly the same. I even changed my internet. Nothing works.

I feel like i spent 40 euro's for nothing at this moment and im extremely dissapointed this is happening.

Hope anyone can help me out.

sometimes it helps to register with bethesta.net. but i encountered this condition quite a lot lately, too.

Same problem, still no fix i guess. I even tried the first Commenter's idea. nothing.

Ok, I solved it.

download Bethesda launcher, sign in.
go to windows security settings allow Wolfensteinyoungblood.exe to exclusion list.
When setting up the game, make it friend invite for host setup.
Add friends through the Bethesda launcher
In game click on the Bethesda tab and add them there as well.

I hope this works for you, I was able to host a game with friend invite setting
every other way was showing steam lost connection
so at least i can host a game without being in offline mode.
waiting for a friend to download it and join currently, i just got a little excited that i could host with being online. Let me know if that works for you as well.

We had two computers do this at the same time, no clue why. We fixed it by opening up the file properties, compatibility, run this program as an administrator = checked.

Then the game worked fine. No clue why it worked up till today w/o this.

It doesn`t only crash, after a crash my harddrive is gone, i always look after a crash at my explorer drives and the one who got the game installed on it is gone, i have to reboot to make it apear again, so i won`t be playing this game anymore (actualy i haven`t played one single hour up to date)
