On the contrary, I have thoroughly enjoyed playing the 4 games of Wolfenstein. But where the first three where perhaps an updated version of each other, YB is totally new in concept and quite refreshing from the previous 3. The biggest mistake is that the player attempted to play YB in the same mode and the previous 3. And in doing so failed. YB presented a new style of planning and execution and each area offered different opportunity to play such as a change in how one approach any given problem. You needed to improvise, change, modify and execute not the game but in the player thinking/planning stage.
Believe me I hated the game at first until I was shown a different strategy.
Cptpotatoface---------have you finished the game in co-op and solo??
and all this nasty review about 'blah blah qq looter shooter' no its not a looter shooter. you pick up currency and ammo. wow. youre not fighting enemies in hopes of getting resources with which you have to craft a myriad of items to progress. nor are you getting random gear with various unique upgrades to them. definitely not a looter shooter by my standards.
anyhow, i think it did well. i just wish there were more players actively playing.
The sound and feel of the weapons were great. True your sis was a total derp at times and would run headlong into a boss shooting right at her. But I really enjoyed it. It was something new.
Early on the enemies are bullet sponges
but once you level up your weapons and get better accustomed to the enemy types it became less of an issue. Plus I heard they nerfed the sponginess of enemies since last I played.
If you can pick it up on sale, definitely go for it. Got about 30 hours out of it myself.
Not that any of these entries were remotely good compared to RTCW.
Obviously.
