Rip off
They killed all build up from woldenstein 2 only for female protagonists. Then they made a missing dad scenario because bethesda needed a plot. I've heard that there's less enemies in this game aswell. So why would you buy this instead of replaying the old ones or doom. Also there's cringy emotes n such things. This is a hard pass. I hate what they have done to the series.

I dont mind female protagonists, I just hate it when studios goes out of their way to ruin an entire plot just to have undeveloped characters as protagonists. Their only personality is that they are twin sisters, question anything about character development and basic writing and you're a sexist.

As for the gameplay it looks exactly like wolfenstein 2. But with reused assets aswell. You are paying half of the price for wolf 2 for a bad cliche filled plot with horrible writing, less enemies, less content overall. There's no reason to buy this. As for co op. This is the only reason to buy.

Microtransactions aswell... Why cant bethesda just continue to make good games like they used to. They have already ruined fallout and added microtransaction for mods, skins in rage 2 etc. They even cancelles prey 2
...

Plz bethesda dont ban me from the forums for voicing an opinion.

Turns out I was right. The game sucks. What is wrong with bethesda these days. They used to be good all up til now. Fallout 76, Rage 2 with microtransactions, Pray 2 cancelled, wolfenstein ruined. If they add more than microtransactions to Doom and mess with the gameplay I won't ever buy another bethesda game.

The sales for this game are going to be terrible. The majority of people aren't "woke". It's sad to see what they have done to this franchise.
You do realise that this is just a spinoff like The Old Blood? Old Blood was literally just more of TNO, yet everyone loved it, and Wolfenstein 3 is coming later anyhow.

Why would you complain about it on the discussion forums instead of playing the old ones or Doom?

Or they used the story change to explain why the game is now co-op and depending on reception might continue to be co-op in the future.

It still spoils all the build up. And it doesn't excuse bad writing.

There is so many other ways to make a co op spin off wolfenstein game without ruining the story.

You're criticising the entire game's writing based on a 2-minute trailer. Take a moment ot think about that.

This entire forum is so pathetic but hilarious at the same time. Crazy that people pointlessly hate the idea of two females being protagonists so much lol.

It doesn't excuse horrible writing!

1. It could be a game set during the american revolution where you play as 2 soldiers briefed by B.J

2. It could be a game set during ww2 where you play as a team of 2 spys

3. It could be a game set during the events of the new order where you play as 2 civilians.

There's so many other viable options than the, oh no my dad got kidnapped! plot.

There's gameplay released, there is many cutscenes released, there is iformation overall about the game released. You can judge this game and see what it is pretty well right now. So no I didn't judge the game based on a 2 minute trailer.

Good pitches - but how are you going to make them interesting in the same way ToB was as opposed to something entirely ancillary?

These are the main points of your topic:

1. Youngblood's plot is ruined because the protagonist characters are 'undeveloped.'
2. The only personality trait I can identify in the main protagonists is that they are twin sisters.
3. I'm afraid to criticize the characters because I will be labeled 'sexist.'

Response:

1. The sisters are both 18 years old, so I don't think they are 'undeveloped.'
2. This is probably a reading comprehension problem on your part and you have to concede that the Youngblood trailer shows us very little. Getting a full understanding of the twin sisters' personality or character from the meager trailer is difficult.
3. This seems like an irrational fear, but it's your life.

1. Not young bloods plot, however the plot is built upon cliches so it's already a pretty bad plot. I was talking about the story of the reboot. We had all this build up from the new order to the end of wolfenstein 2 and then they skip the entire climax of the build up. Just to have female protagonists in a new game. There's so much wasted potential because of it.

2. Fair enough

3. It's not. Bethesda has deleted a whole bunch of topics on the steam forums that critisized the characters.

1. You think the 'save/find your daddy' story of Youngblood is cliche? I don't know of any other games where you play as a 'daughter' and go 'save/find your daddy.' It might not be super original, but it is certainly not cliche.
3. The topics deleted were troll threads about 'sjw-ism' and hate mongering topics about jews and the holocaust. Those threads had nothing to do with Youngblood.

Anyway, if you concede point #2, all posts that complain about the thinness of Youngblood's plot or character development are moot because the trailer truly doesn't show us enough to make a decent judgement about plot or character.
