There is so many other ways to make a co op spin off wolfenstein game without ruining the story.
Let's hear your pitch then. Go.
It doesn't excuse horrible writing!
1. It could be a game set during the american revolution where you play as 2 soldiers briefed by B.J
2. It could be a game set during ww2 where you play as a team of 2 spys
3. It could be a game set during the events of the new order where you play as 2 civilians.
There's so many other viable options than the, oh no my dad got kidnapped! plot.
Good pitches - but how are you going to make them interesting in the same way ToB was as opposed to something entirely ancillary?
These are the main points of your topic:
1. Youngblood's plot is ruined because the protagonist characters are 'undeveloped.'
2. The only personality trait I can identify in the main protagonists is that they are twin sisters.
3. I'm afraid to criticize the characters because I will be labeled 'sexist.'
Response:
1. The sisters are both 18 years old, so I don't think they are 'undeveloped.'
2. This is probably a reading comprehension problem on your part and you have to concede that the Youngblood trailer shows us very little. Getting a full understanding of the twin sisters' personality or character from the meager trailer is difficult.
3. This seems like an irrational fear, but it's your life.
1. Not young bloods plot, however the plot is built upon cliches so it's already a pretty bad plot. I was talking about the story of the reboot. We had all this build up from the new order to the end of wolfenstein 2 and then they skip the entire climax of the build up. Just to have female protagonists in a new game. There's so much wasted potential because of it.
2. Fair enough
3. It's not. Bethesda has deleted a whole bunch of topics on the steam forums that critisized the characters.
3. The topics deleted were troll threads about 'sjw-ism' and hate mongering topics about jews and the holocaust. Those threads had nothing to do with Youngblood.
Anyway, if you concede point #2, all posts that complain about the thinness of Youngblood's plot or character development are moot because the trailer truly doesn't show us enough to make a decent judgement about plot or character.
