yu are talking about one person
I played mostoly coop and most of the players are really good, everyone has diferent experiencies, differnet parts of the maps or missions, so, maybe you know some things that the other players doesn't and he knows other thigns that you don't
patience
If someone wants to try it with me, I'm game. I play on hardest difficulty and I do all the missions. Collecting everything and doing every achievement is not necessary, but if it's what you're into I have infinite patience. Play style wise I prefer the stealthy approach. Oh, and I like to watch all the cutscenes. Well, at least the first time. I only tested the first level so far, because I'm not playing with AIs. I've seen the early Schwarzenegger movie once too often. Talking about Austrians, I'm in Germany and I can tell you which German speaking country the voice actors are actually from. If that's something you always wanted to know.
I don't discriminate. Boys, girls, lefties, Nazis, snowflakes, people who play with a controller, I don't care as long as you play well. I guess that automatically disqualifies the controller using crowd.
Anyway, should we actually finish the game, we could continue with an actual difficult coop game like Kleshik. But first things first.
I've tried to play co-op almost a dozen times not once I joined a skilled player, guess they all play offline or Friends Only.
I play Youngblood on hard, almost got every collectible from my first playthrought, I also like to be stealthy but if it takes too much time or ♥♥♥♥ hits the fan guns blazing is the best choice in this game.
I started playing the first fps on PC with K/M but lately I find myself always using a controller because almost all PC games are also on console, I also enjoy some force feedback.
Funny thing when I first played The Witcher 2 when it came out it was almost impossible for me to play it with keyboard/mouse, I got killed a lot and combat was so hard, as soon as I used a controller it was a piece of cake.
What? Is Witcher 2 an FPS now?
You are the reason I have to suffer under toggle_crouch. Well, thanks a bunch.
And I was talking about Youngblood, which is as far as I know even with all the loot shooter mechanics still considered an FPS. And because of the console peasants and people like you that people like me have to deal with gameplay optimized for controllers.
Thanks! Accepted it in-game, also sent a Steam friend request for text-based communication, 'cause I don't use the Bethesda launcher. Hit me up when you wanna do those sidequests, I'll tag along.
Nobody forces you to play, deal with it or just don't play, not even PC devs care AFAIK.
But how did you make the jump from me offering to play Youngblood coop and preferring to do that with people, who don't use a controller, to telling us the story of how you came to no longer play with mouth and keyboard? And then you bring Witcher 2 as an example. This had nothing to do with anything. And that's why I asked if Witcher 2 was an FPS.
If I don't tell people about the things that bother me it's very unlikely that those things will change. That's why people stage protests and stuff, to let the people in power know that they aren't satisfied with the current state of affairs. Of course you could tell those people as well to either deal with it or leave the country. Just like those protesters usually having paid taxes and are therefore invested in having things changed, I too put money into this by buying the game (and I would like to buy the next game as well) and because of that I'm interested in there being an option to turn off toggle crouch among other things. That's also why most people are complaining about the obnoxious twins and the tedious game design.
Now I don't know how well-versed you are in marketing tactics, but feedback is a very useful tool when it comes to designing and selling a product. So I would assume that either the developers or maybe even a special group in the company is assigned to monitor these forums for exactly that reason; to collect feedback.
Of course I can't really know if the developers care, but if someone puts months if not years into a project - especially if it's the entertainment industry, they tend to want customers to enjoy the finished product. Naturally there is the possibility that some of them are only doing their job so they get paid, but I find this highly unlikely, because video game development is a very ungrateful and even more stressful job which in most cases doesn't even pay that well.
So this is not an issue of caring but of time constrains. There simply isn't enough time to implement all the features people would like, so hard choices have to be made. Same goes for releasing patches of course. Not every wish can be fulfilled, but the probability of some feature being implemented is a lot higher obviously, if people keep asking for it. Oh, and if it's not that hard to do, which brings me back to my desire to hold to crouch.
Of course without not knowing the exact inner workings of the game I can only speculate, but I doubt that it's particularly difficult to add the pm_crouchToggle cvar into the game.
Though to be honest at this point I would be happy if I were actually able to play the game in coop using the Buddy Pass via Steam. So that has properly priority, since I've read about other people having the "Game session is no longer available" as well.
Anyway, that's what I was "blabbering" about. No hard feelings if you didn't read it all. To be honest I didn't expect you to either. But that's my prejudice against people who play FPS games with controllers showing. I apologize.
Time zone might be an issue. So definitely not today, but if you can't find anyone else close to you I'm sure we can work out a schedule. That's if the Buddy Pass thing works. Remember, you need at least a Bethesta account though.
Maybe I didn't explain myself clear enough.
