Next Wolfenstein should have a(n optional) female protagonist
The Wolfenstein franchise is too special to just say "if you like to play as a woman play another game". I'm a woman and I played Wolfenstein 3D back in the day. But I didn't play recent Wolfenstein games since the reboot, mainly because of the male protagonist. That is because I decided not to play such games anymore. You can think about that what you want but that's a decision I made. Not because I think that there should be no games with male protagonists but because it doesn't provide the same experience *for me* and the toxicity regarding female players and female protagonists in the community also has confirmed my resolution. That made it also political instead of just personal. So, after having a blast with the Blazkowicz twins I really hope that this wasn't the end regarding female protagonists in the Wolfenstein franchise. I think a choice between different protagonists would be great to cater to a wider audience.

I personally think the next protagonist should be a black disabled transgender vegan who's wheeled around by a white male who's reminded constantly by said protagonist that he's complete and utter scum and his masculinity is toxic.

Female protagonists are great and it isnt enough to simply have a male or female protagonist in a game, they also have to have some depth to them, they have to be interesting. Some examples that I have played recently are Emily and Billy in Dishonored 2 and Death of the Outsider, and Kasandra in AC Odyssey. These are well written female protagonists.

One of the many problems with Wolfenstein Youngblood is how poorly written the female protagonists are and how the tone of the game is a drastic shift for the series.

I feel like the devs put Jess and Soph in simply because they are female and that was that, they gave themselves a pat on the back, it ticked the correct demographic box but they forgot to add any real depth to them.

Jess and Soph were played for laughs rather than exploring their characters, their upbringing, the impact that war has had on them etc. Which is a completely legit path they could have taken given how seriously BJs story is told in the series, but they opted for more of a comedy style approach which just doesn't fit and doesnt satisfy what I have come to expect from both Machine games and Arkane when it comes to writing.

We are teased something interesting in the first cut scene but after that the tone changes and it is all down hill for me, not because they are female at all but because they are not given the same treatment the devs gave BJ in the previous games. They are a joke, just there to make the player laugh. If that is enough for you fine, but I expect more from a dev that has already proven they can write great characters.
No, because wolfenstein has always been about that, arian looking guy. If you want a woman then make a new IP not switch what already exist.

If by the 'next Wolfenstein' you mean Wolfenstein 3 proper, then I don't need or want anyone else that isn't BJ or Anya. The Wolfenstein reboot is about their adventures, and I'm willing to put up with the twin daughter's crap for one spin-off title only.
Machine Games have shown they can't be trusted with female characters.

Terrible character designs, terrible "Tee hee, we're teenaged girls!!1!" personalities

These so-called Feminists are just giving Rednecks more ammo to hate on games with female protagonists and need to stop.

I don't hate women... But seriously this feminism ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in movies and games need to stop...
It getting out of hand...

Even went to see the new Men in Black international movie last week. When they made the first crack about men with the "Excuse me, 'the men in black'...."- line, i got off my seat and refunded my ticket before the 30minute mark...

This cancerous male-hating feminism, needs to gtfo.....

That seems to be the main problem. You (and many others) *expected* something different. I didn't expect much in terms of a deep story or deep characters. In such a game that's nice to have but not necessary for me. I actually liked the light approach. I found it funny to watch them do silly things in elevators. Also, in this kind of game for me it's not about a certain individual with a certain background and character (the main argument why people argue that you cannot just replace for example GTA V's protagonists with women), it's just an avatar that I use to play the game basically as me, like in Dark Souls for example. The less depth a character has the easier it is to identify with because there's not much to have an issue with. In this case they were just hilarious and silly and I found that refreshing. For me it basically boiled down to them just being women, earnest or silly, shallow or deep, doesn't really matter. To me it's just the "Wolfenstein Guy" or in this case the "Wolfenstein Gals", just like the "Doom Guy". But when looking over to the Doom franchise you also see people being against a possible future "Doom gal". Where's the personal story and character depth there that justifies a certain gender? While some (like you) focus their complaints on character depth and story regardless of gender (which is okay with me) there are others who argue from a "this is SJW ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥" standpoint (which is not okay with me).

I didn't bother with the new MIB movie at all for one simple reason, Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones wern't in it.

I've seen enough of Thor and Valkyrie dealing with alien crisis in the MCU already.
does anyone have any proof of feminism groups asking for these two clowns to be put in to this game or people are just spewing nonsense?

72 actually but that's beside the point.

MIB3 was a proper send off for Agent K and ended the series on a relatively high note. But you know Hollywood just gotta milk established franchises till they're dry nowadays.

Totally agree with you, personally i never want to play as a female and skipped youngblood so if there is a choice everyone can play with the protagonist they choose.

Do u know who cares about the gender of the protagonists? Only women !
Back in the day we never even used to think about the gender of the main guy. We just used to play the game and talk about it to our best friends. We didn't care if Lara was a female or transwoman or a black man trapped inside a lesbians body !
Nowadays games are getting stale and unoriginal and developers and publishers are realising this. That's why they are encouraging women to be more involved with the gaming industry by politicizing everything ! It all started with that truly aweful woman ANITA SARKESIAN !!!
Larger customer base = more money.
Some times going woke helps of you are already out of ideas!

Also why can't they create new IPS to push female empowerment bs ?
Oh I see bcz nobody would buy it as there are less than 1 % female gamers around the world ! So they have to exploit the existing fanbase to get some profit.

You know, most of the people in this forum are desperate persons who just want to watch the world burn because they can´t change themselves and will never be able to. They cannot do any good so what is left ? -> vulgarity, violence, harm and toxicity. Complaining about the same things all the time will not help but they keep on doing it because they find joy in such low-life actions.

Concerning the fact that we have female protagonists in this game is a good change. Why would everything be the same over and over again? You get anoyed to see the same things all the time, but, people don´t like changement/evolution because they are not capable of changing themselves. This is a hard truth they will never be able to admit.
