nProtect Game Guard Won't Update

I'm having an issue starting up the game because nProtect won't update. Any advice?

I don't have an update issue but it fails connection. Whenever this happens i am forced to reset my PC. Does anyone know if there's a way to manually fix it when this happens, without reboot?

yeah its not connecting i think that's my issue too

Updating and rebooting my PC made it work again - it's almost as if GG runs out of memory or cache space?

But if that still doesn't work for you, look up the 3rd party tool Tweaker. It has an option to repair gameguard and run a filecheck update, replacing damaged files one by one.

okay yeah the fix was to check if windows had an update and it did for firewall. didn't have to reboot or anything just download it

EDIT :
it was luck that it actually worked this isn't the actual fix. just keep clicking retry till it works it'll take a while but eventually it will actually let you through.

DO NOT UNINSTALL

it doesn't fix anything and you'll just have to wait a couple hours to reinstall it with the same problem

Mines just started working again and I didn't do anything but wait a few hours. I don't know but it seem to work just fine now xD

has anyone figured out the issue or how to fix this, its been 5 days already for me and it has yet to resolve. Ive already tried turning off my antivirus and firewall and its still not connecting.

Same here. I tried verifying the game files; after it finished it did the same thing. So now I'm trying to reinstall.

That did not work, I don't recommend it since the game can take a while to reinstall.

OK so this actually worked from an old thread:
"Disable Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)" on your network adapter.
Apparently this might be due to a recent Windows Update.

Turn it off to let nProtect load, then you can re-enable it until you start the game again.

Update: This might be necessary until SEGA patches it to work normally again.

its can take a few minutes maybe even an hour but keep clicking retry it should work eventually

i have the same problem, nProtec wont update, but after restarting pc, everything turn back to normal, idk why

I unfortunately have no clue on how to do that and heard that its not a good idea to do so, but im praying on this weeks update it gets fixed and if not i guess im going to have to resort to figuring out how to do that. Ridiculous that some players have to go through all this hassle to play a game because of their anticheat system.

network issues need network related fixes. Search steam forum about dns, ipconfig , router, resets, etc.
