But if that still doesn't work for you, look up the 3rd party tool Tweaker. It has an option to repair gameguard and run a filecheck update, replacing damaged files one by one.
EDIT :
it was luck that it actually worked this isn't the actual fix. just keep clicking retry till it works it'll take a while but eventually it will actually let you through.
DO NOT UNINSTALL
it doesn't fix anything and you'll just have to wait a couple hours to reinstall it with the same problem
"Disable Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)" on your network adapter.
Apparently this might be due to a recent Windows Update.
Turn it off to let nProtect load, then you can re-enable it until you start the game again.
Update: This might be necessary until SEGA patches it to work normally again.
