Shut down
Blue Protocol:
Insolvency
Vindictus:
Region Locked....kinda. Sort off.
Continenth of the Ninth:
Barely alive and kicking
Kritika:
Got revived multiple times and shut down multiple times
Tower of Fantasy/Genshin/Honkai:
Gambling personified
There is one more game i can remember right now but i forgot its name but its pretty much Anime Vindictus and has a f*cking stamina system. For that system alone it gets a hard "NO" from me.
The Action MMORPG genre has turned more into a "pick your own poison" type of thing which is kinda sad.
i miss kritika
Slow and clunky, if you dont mind and didnt play already there are some monster hunter/PSO likes games for PSP/PSVita/DS like Lord of Arcana, Final Fantasy explorers, Ragnarok Odyssey and some random others...
Personally my ideal MMO would just be a version of WoW where the combat was more like this.
Or just Wildstar. Pour one out.
I'm talking about something new. A modern take on PSO/PSU would be perfect for me. Slower, but not so clunky. NGS is more superhero than space police.
yea, that is going to be really hard, PSO IMO is a type of game that its not a full AAA and not a AA either, its a type of game that big companies will never do again because its not that big for now-a-day games and its not a game that indies will do too because its a little to big
for example this game here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2248150/Gunmetal_Gothic/
if you change the settings to a PSO it could really be something close to the gameplay... but only that
Then there's Guild Wars 2. Very active, and it doesn't require a monthly subscription. Just get the base game, buy whatever expansion you'd like, or don't, and start filling your wardrobe with permanent cosmetics to use on all your account. Combat is slower than NGS but it's not stiff and lethargic like WoW or FFXIV. Still suffers from long cooldowns and it's not as soloable as some want to make people think.
Warframe is still pretty solid, but it's a near completely different genre when compared to NGS. As for Tera, there are private servers, but as an officially dead game, there will be no new content in them. Blade and Soul still exists, but, it's monetization is heavily predatory, with plenty of people accusing it of being extremely pay to win. It's still churning new content every once in awhile, though, and has one of the better character body slider sets I've seen.
Ahhhhh yes that one.
Played it on the famous P-Server before it sadly went down and it was a very nice game. Now the Official server sadly has a stamina system and a bunch of other sh*t you never wanted. Hell. The P-Server even got the patches waaaay before the Official one. I played the Kitty Samurai Girl way before people got their hands on her in the global version. P-Server guys were f*cking fast.
