What is even going on with the story?

Ever seen movies where the writer has good ideas, but the director turns all these ideas into a mashed up potato cake and it turns out bad? Well that's NGS.

So our story begins with Zephetto needing a new body because his mech got destroyed in the battle with the Starless. He found the clone number 4 which propably is Matoi. He transcended into clone number 4 but, dum dum dum Vael took it over. Then human morph Vael tried to wipe Manon / Aina / Pharia / protagonist but Zephetto holded him until they flee.

Then all we get after that is Crawford saying "hey go kill Vael so we can wrap up this chapter". No cinematic as to how Vael ended up looking like a dragon, no fight with the human morphed Vael, nothing. Heck we didn't even get to see the kid with the glasses creating the M.A.R.S system and we straight up used it against Vael.

Here is what we've learned from the latest chapter. Zephetto merged with the protagonists body, because "clone number 4" got destroyed in the Urgent Quest fight.

If clone number 4 was Matoi, then why her figurine is shown in the Roadmap? Either Vael did not die or clone number 4 was not Matoi in the first place.

Anyway the screen writing is similar to that of indie movies. It explains nothing to it's players and it rushes things very fast. Propably they've spent all their budget in the Urgent Quest fight and couldn't afford to spent more money for more cinematics as to how they created M.A.R.S and how Vael ended up looking like a dragon.

They did not plan the story to go till this time, and Im sure if they did was to be a story conteined only in halpha, but because it was trash and people start to complain sega did a 180 and start to try to connect everything to PSO2, maybe they already was planning in connect but not this soon, this happen with Naruto if you watch the first season when they show the memorial in the back of the city, it does not look like the 4th hokage

They said the corresponding story quests will come after the UQ, next month. You play the final encounter first then everything leading up to that is revealed after.

No idea why it's backwards like that. Has been happening since PSO2.

The story has been stupid from day 1. Like I said in another thread, we couldn't reach Leciel when it was floating in the sky for years, but we can randomly pull off insane power moves, smash Vael through an ARKS ship and way out into space pulling off moves like you would see from Super Sonic. If we are capable of this, why is any enemy in this game a threat at all? We should be able to one shot everything. You really need to turn your brain off to enjoy it, because this world doesn't seem to have any rules, anything can happen because the plot demands it.

The whole waifu bait is cringe as well. Harriete, Hitsugi, Matoi, then Aina and Manon, all of these characters are terrible. The worst anime traits in one place, a Harem, Isekai and cringe dialogue.

Probably the reason you could suddenly punch Vael into space was because of the golden MARS armament. You are otherwise not capable of this. Personally, I found the fireworks enjoyable enough then the PSO2 plot girls flashed by and I nearly died from cringe.

Not looking forward to the inevitable several months of reunion arc with these.

I'm mostly disappointed the music still hasn't been as good as in PSO2, and we've had like 5 Dark Falz UQs.

It makes no sense. It's called final boss for a reason. You progress the story and reach the final boss, that's how games work. Not killing the final boss and then you get told what happened before the boss fight. It's just nuts.

I don't care about Harriette or Hitsugi but seeing Matoi is a tearjerker.

Seems to be a common theme with this story (and base PSO2's story) God like powers, but only seen to move the plot forward in cutscenes.

You would think after witnessing that, they would be doing everything they can to acquire that kind of power forever. Everybody on Halpha goes into stupid mode at the end of every battle though and they just sit by and wait for the next thing to happen........I hate these characters XD

HA! You know how this really works. God like powers beats bad guys. Get motivated to do more good. Gets drunk on unlimited power. Become the new bad guy.

Nobody explain why Elder has a bunch of hands and have nothing resemblance an Elder, not even an old man. No explaining why Double is a doll, because they're resemblance kids? so why twin just so "Double" word make sense? why ever has castle as its body, it has nothing to do with being twin nor double? Loser has nothing related to being Loser, in fact he's the wining as he has the best theme all of Dark Falz and it's not even opinion, it's fact. Nobody explain why boss in Episode 4 has to relate to parody of our world, because it's funny? Train? some random japan ship they thought to be super strong from WW2? Culture ahh guy? Despite all those people somehow claimed it makes sense.

So why these don't make sense. Oh I know, it has NGS in a name and you just hate that three string of letters.

We hate bad choices. If i know how a movie / game ends, why would I bother watch it?

They took spoilers to another level. Since we know that Vael is dead, there is nothing interesting in the upcoming story. Why? Because the upcoming story will tell us what happened prior to the Vael fight. And guess what Vael is dead lol.
