The Frieren mimic emote is only available after buying 40+ loot boxes, right?
New to the game and just found out about the Frieren collab, but if I'm understanding this correctly, the only way to get the mimic emote is by buying 40 loot boxes, right? Which basically comes out to about $60USD worth of boxes?

yep lol
haha figures. Too bad too, because I love the show and D&D, so it would have been an instabuy for me if it were at a more reasonable price.

How often (if ever) do they bring back collab lootboxes like this? I wouldn't mind paying $60 into a F2P game that I ended up playing the same amount as a AAA title, but there's no way I'm going to do it without playing a fair amount first. Also, as I understand it some of the lootbox items can be bought on the player market for in-game currency?

Collabs with non-Sega franchises have extremely low (but not zero) chances of returning. Paid items typically can be purchased from other players using in-game currency but the emote in question is untradable.

Yes, you do need to do 40 rolls to get this item which comes out to... 7,400 AC? That would be $74 outside of sales. If it's any consolation, you'd also end up with 40 items you could sell.

Scratch bonus items are usually untradeable so you can't buy it from other players.

It's extremely rare that they ever bring back these outside company collab items unless they're doing another part with a different set of costumes for other characters where they have an opportunity to bring back the previous set. There's been a few cases so far but they're never for the seasonal anime series collab so far.
Licenses that are not Segas own almost never if ever return. Thats the reason why global is missing all the collab stuff JP had. Reason for that is Sega needs to pay for the license again if they wanna re-run those items. And Sega doesnt like spending cash twice on something.

So you want it you better get it now or its gone. Forever.

Welcome to Fomo Star Online "New Generation of Scratching" (NGS).

Could have sworn I saw it in the shop, but I must have remembered wrong. Those "only after X pulls" items are always excluded from shops.

Figured it out. It was the stamp I was thinking about, not the emote.

bro can you still get Frieren skins?
I only just found out about it now
I think you can still get most of the items (skins and such) on the player market. Dunno what the prices are though.

big sad alright thx for replies
Frieren anime designs are too simple, infact a lot of anime collab costumes are too simple to almost boring to look at.

The collabs made from other anime videogames are better, because the characters are already designed for viewing as a videogame.

They should have made the dress and tights separate. That would have made them more versatile.

People wanted the Symbol Art with the girl getting eaten from the Mimic box.

I saw people get excited by the Frieren collab and I never understood it. Popular anime it may be, but that doesn't automatically translate to cosmetics that interest players of this game. Now if Sega put some actual effort into their collabs and made them fun for the player, like we got in base game, then maybe I could understand it, but collabs in NGS are almost entirely about giving Sega money, so it's impossible for me to get excited.
