1. Test your bandwidth. Make sure it hasn't dipped below acceptable levels. I know old lines can certainly be a problem.
For example, if you use a Cable connection of any kind (Coaxial Cable lines), it's possible for WATER to collect inside the lines through loose connections. This causes severe connectivity issues, and very frequent loss of connection entirely. This will obviously require a call to your local office to come fix their lines.
I watched a couple linemen repairing my lines cut the connector off of one end of our line (running to the pole outside of the house), take this nifty little line squeezing tool, clamp it on the line about 1.5 feet away from that cut, engage said tool, and then proceed to pull it towards the cut, now an open end, and squeeze out a lovely stream of water.
My lines literally had to be DRAINED.
2. Make sure your router's settings haven't been fooled with. If this is something your ISP manages for you, contact them and ask if there's been any changes, specifically regarding any ports/etc. GameGuard requires. From time to time ISPs erroneously block things like GameGuard because they simply don't know what they are.
3. Make sure any and all software that you use related to your internet connection (proxies, VPNs, antivirus software/firewall software, etc.) isn't interfering.
4. I don't know if the PSO2 server IP addresses are readily available on the PSO2 website for troubleshooting purposes, but you need to also try running a traceroute to the server IP(s) to see if you have any data loss.
Outside of those things, you might also check the Windows Event Viewer to see if it has anything interesting to say about the matter. I've found that, while not very reliable, it's sometimes helpful to look at it when diagnosing random problems that pop up.
2: Router settings should be the same. ISP is spectrum so don't think that would be the issue either unless they specifically blocked GameGuard, but I didn't get any notice from them about it.
3: Shouldn't be an issue as I went through them during initial testing
4: I'd need to look into this, but I'm definitely losing data somewhere
The only thing I haven't tried is pretty much just waiting. Certain sources say servers are overloaded but that doesn't seem correct.
Today's attempt had the launcher load normally and GameGuard downloaded its update.
PSO2 booted fully.
So uh, I guess fixed?
Thank you guy for the advice
-Fresh Shop and Mission Pass don't load in as well or takes a very long time to do so
When your hard disk is flawed things can get very messy and corrupt your experience. For example it can't load the data and tries to fix it what results in huge delays.
Another explanation could be that there might be issues with the area you live in, but I highly doubt that.
Just my 2 cents.
The game is on a HDD but it still works fine as it's been tested and other apps on it work normally. This wouldn't explain the network issues
Unsure if it was an area coverage thing, but that's possible.
