Has force gotten more abilities since NGS release?
I've been a long time PSO player, played PSO episodes 1 and 2 on game cube when I was small, universe on the 360 and PSO2 before NGS. Force has always been my main thing and I quit NGS due to the lack of abilities compared to the prior games in the series. Has NGS added some of the missing techs from the prior games or is it still the same as release?

Nevermind just checked the wiki, didn't think to look at that before making this post. Man I really hope they add the rest of the abilities from PSO2 to NGS.

In a nutshell for the most significant additions if you weren't there from the start from New Genesis:

  • Retem released three more elements with two techniques each (Wind, Light, and Dark)
  • Retem also introduced "Compound Techniques" behaving mechanically similar to those from Phantasy Star Online 2 - but are visually and practically used differently
  • Retem also introduced a skill that allowed for Rod-Force users to become stronger when an enemy is downed using the correct elements
  • In regards to gameplay, the Force has not changed very much ever since the game's launch (you are still color-coding enemies with the proper elements and)

Personally, I do not find myself interested in revisiting Phantasy Star Online 2's vast plethora of techniques that boiled down to "these few are good utilities, this handful are very good buffs every class wants a Techer to use instead when possible, and here is Ilgrants that always works no matter what." There were too many techniques that were either too weak or unusable in favor of one that just always worked and there were too many "band-aids" in place to make techniques viable (Crafted Technique Disks, for example, gave you massive boost in potency because Sega expected players to have it and balanced the class around those higher numbers instead).

I would like to see more creative forms of techniques and "casting" that isn't simply waving a rod and shooting out an elemental repaint of a fireball until the game specifies you can do something else as I feel the Force is unfortunately the least creative class in New Genesis so far considering that the Techer and Bouncer share its same baggage with casting.

it gotten more abilities since NGS release they added light attack wind attack and dark element and force PP regenerate was among top class in NGS they added more skill to force what it call combine element just like photon blast if u like playing with force u must check enemy weakness during combat .... so manage your skill wisely on sub-palette because every enemy have difference weakness that u can change skill quickly during combat and one importance thing is skill tree manage it well make every element critical hit with good gears and perfect augment capsule add on u can hit enemy just few time to make them down and second importance thing is dodge(block) skill not just mele needed dodge(block) skill force also needed to dodge because all your build is for element critical hit and magic potency not for defend one hit form boss attack is huge damage to your class
When somebody speaks about the FOrces, I can't stop thinking about how SEGA handled the Techniques in NGS... Having only 8 Techs (two per element) is pathetic already. But since all enemies have an elemental weakness and the two Techniques per element are either single-target or AOE, we have to spam only one Technique for any given situation if we truly want to be efficient. Not two or three, ONE. Isn't it wonderful ? A 10/10 game for sure... -_-"
