Yes. I played it just fine some weeks ago.
Isn't New Genesis a totally new client/different version from PSO2? The only thing that New Genesis is carrying over is your character/account data?
I don't see why New Genesis would bump the rendering requirements on the original PSO2 if it's not touching anything else besides server-sided data?
So yeah pso2 gotta have an engine upgrade to match with the expansion. Fashion also one of the reasons why the graphics upgrade since the characters model will be shared, that way you can use pso2 cosmetic in NGS and vice versa
Also, while it was answered at the beginning of the thread, yes PSO2 Global does run on Windows 7 perfectly fine, and provided Sega don't do something weird like use the utterly pointless DirectX 12 for New Genesis, so will that.
