Launcher i agree is very eh. i absolutely L O V E the beam, but i feel id be better served going techer/rifle to abuse shifta stuff... Since rifle doesnt have many main class things besides blight rounds, which isnt really useful compared to shifta.
You're a new player in the PSO series?
Melee plays totally different and much more "headache" style than melee.
LB is your great friend here (lock on key but also change camera where your character is facing).
You just need to get used.
Yes, normal attacks are important for hunter.
And yes, for clearing trash mobs I usually dont lock on them. Maybe just insta lock and de-lock to have a better view but not be forced to attack that single mob.
You might also try comfortable to zoom out your camera a little bit when fighting.
Honestly, with Hunter i'm having a blast, high damage and amazing survivability.
But above all.... ADRENALINE!!!
Rifle Ranger may not be the biggest DPS machine of all classes, but it is a very safe and layed back class to play as. You can mind your own business in the backline while you are fighting big tough guys. Use blight rounds to soften up your enemies and just fire away.
The rifle also has a really nice AOE attack, the homing missile one. Hold it for a while to lock it on multiple enemies. I don't know what the max count of lock on targets is, but its a lot! you can target like an entire army of enemies with it. It does a fair amount of dmg too!
Can't say much about cannon tho, haven't played around with it yet.
Yes sorry i changed the title. Hunter is fine with that OP wired Lance. XD
I Started NGS with Ranger, but after play with Gauntlet and Wired Lance it make me be a GOD, the power and mobility it give is another level. There is no way to compare with Ranger....
Yes but the problem on NGS, is that you are almost always by yourself most of the time against mobs, Party doesnt works well on NGS at least to me. If u want to go Ranger would be good to have a melee for those hard times when tons of mobs surround you and you do not have mates to distract while you aim weak spots!
Also Force subclass really helps ranger a lot. That 600% pp regen skill that has 2 use is so stupidly good, there's nothing even remotely close in other classes to take.
wth are you talking about lol? Im been soloing tier 2 fevers on lab like is nothing with ranger, Homing missile is extremely OP on this game, just two or three uses and you can wipe groups of anything that is not an elite mob very quickly, blight rounds are good for dps single targets.
I think you need to learn how to play with ranger buddy.
The only issue I've had with it is the animations leave you wide open to attacks. Very hard to 1v1 strong enemies without taking hits, but that's a trade-off I would expect.
Yeah agree homing missile is the best PA to deal with crowds quick just spam it 2-4 times and all common mobs will die, vs bosses with not many weak spots cannon is better with shift+rmb attack after you blight it forget the name of that PA. If anything ranger become top tier, while in og pso2 was average if not just under average.
Fear Eraser actually does massive damage, you use it when something is downed and lay into them with Sticky + Blight Rounds + Fear Eraser; let go of whatever button you're holding to fire off the big last hit once its charged cause it won't fire if you run out of PP.
