Downloaded just fine; no error messages or popups before or after downloading nor after running. It just simply won't start the game after clicking start in the launcher. No issues with anything except launching the actual game; I can change Environment Settings just fine.
Get into the launcher, hit START GAME, see GameGuard connecting/checking/authenticating in top left, see PSO2NG splash in center. Then nothing.
If it matters: steamapps\common\ is on D: and SEGA decided to park itself into C:\Users\_\Documents\. Both have PHANTASYSTARONLINE2_NA_STEAM folders in them. Only steamapps\common\ contains the pso2_bin with actual .exe files.
Checked the environment .txt files and it looks like it's only seeing the older of my 2 monitors, but all other games work just fine on either.
If anyone has got a clue how to fix this one, please share.
Thats what I used to get in
gotcha, thanks for the heads up.
And as Psacey said, honestly disappointing that the official channels to play the game are so broken that the community has to step in to fix their ♥♥♥♥.
oh well. Maybe see I'll y'all around if tweaker works for me.
Update:
Apparently, PSO2 has an issue with documents being on OneDrive and not immediately under Users\_\. I found that windows decided to move my documents folder into onedrive, so I restored it to documents locally (click Documents, properties, location, set to default. If that doesn't work, a little googling will find you a guide to regedit your way through.). Maybe that'll help someone else out here, but it didn't work for me...
tweaker doesn't seem to cut it either.
I've already redownloaded and tried all the troubleshooting options in tweaker. Moving the steam library back to C;\ didn't fix it, either.
Whenever I try to start, tweaker consistently reports:
Starting PSO2 Exception - System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception --2147467259: The requested operation requires elevation
