SEGA really needs to work out these maintenance times. This is seriously ridiculous. I get the time to actually play and BOOM maintenance. Not just any maintenance either. The longest maintenance instances of ANY game I've ever played. SEGA, please get it together.

It really depends on how many servers they have. How far away the servers are from Japan. How fast the internet speed is for those servers to download the patch that needs to be install so it can be updated. Then there's the routine physical maintenance. Backup procedures. Security Protocols. Tiny bits of work out of human control really.

Somehow I always get a "This website can't be displayed" message on the launcher so I actually don't see any news or info on there.

I fully expect the salon sg bug to be fixed this maintenance. There is no excuse for it still being in the game if they don't do that with the extended period.

For some reason, that does seem to be the case.

True. It's ridiculous. Another ridiculous thing is that the game still doesn't run well. I wish they'd also do an optimization sweep.

Maintenance does happen weekly. Though the time maintenance got extended was 8 hours. So this is a 14 hour maintenance compared to the normal 6 hour maintenance times we are used to. But this does happen weekly. The extension times do not always happen. But it's better to just assume there will be extended maintenance.

Alright now you're just being salty. You had people support you, but now you're attacking every little thing that even other MMO's do like a routine maintenance. Even extensions due to issues popping up.

How am I being salty? I am stating facts. Netflix is bleeding subscribers due to poor service. Other service industries like restaurants, hotels, and more are bleeding customers due to poor service. Games as a service titles like MMOs, Gacha games, and PSO2 are the same. Sega has shown countless times that they offer poor service to their customers. From personal customer support, to game content development, to addressing public player concerns, to charging ridiculous prices for in-game items, for spitting on players faces with their monetization pratices (you want autosell, a common game feature for free since the 1980s? pay us AC/SG for it). There's a fine line between making money to recoup development costs and improve the game and just being money grubbing and not using the large money earned to invest into better service or product. We want the game and service to improve but Sega has failed us. Instead you ridicule us. Please do not do this.

I agree this is a bit much for maintenance I just watched a whole 12 episodes of a anime and came back to check on game and still down. I have played a ton of mmo's and have never seen anything like this, about the only game I can say i have seen maintenance problems like this is dcuo in the early days of the game but that was for a massive dlc updates. 14 hours for tweaks an styles is just stupid. I only have about 40 hours in game and 30 bucks and am really thinking about deleting this game now if it takes this long for simple maintenance.

PSO2 has a regular weekly maintenance. So either use the website https://pso2.com/players/news/maintenance/ or actually look at your game launcher. How can you "plan" when you never plan with actual information...

The only regular thing about PSO2's weekly maintenance is how often it is extended. It's so common that the players have a joke for it.

Nonsense, google ffxiv maintenance downtime or whatever mmo downtime. Even kiddy game like maple story has serious downtime issues. Tunnel vision is no excuse when information is all out there.

The worse form of downtime is when it happens suddenly and unscheduled outside of maintenance day. PSO2 is on par or better than most mmos.

The only regular thing about PSO2's weekly maintenance is how often it is extended. It's so common that the players have a joke for it.
