Why are the sound effects so loud in this game?
The sound effects are at 50 with the music and voice lines at 75, but they're still so loud, i can't hear anything they say when shooting.

i did, they are still super loud

If you want to listen to the voices that NPC and others have, I do agree that you are in trouble with this one, they will be shouting low no matter how hard you mute the bar. It is a little better on the Classic DLC, but not by much so you have to make a choice.

I play with voice chat disabled, so I don't know if this problem kicks on it.

Yeah... I don't know what it is with this game but you're definitely not the only one. If you leave it at the defaults the SFX are loud as fk, especially noticable if you wear a headset. Recommend turning them waay down.. I have them on like a 6 iirc.

I have been playing PSO since the dreamcast and I never really gave it much thought, but yeah.. you're absolutely right. I remember as far back as Dreamcast and Blue Burst being the same way. :ragebs:

Yep. I turn the SFX on PSU down to 5 ( 10 is max ) because they are so loud.
