Game not launching anymore?

Hi everyone!

I started playing a week or two ago, and everything was going fine.

Recently, I moved from my previous place. I set up my computer again, and now: I can still use the launcher, and press "Launch Game", but then, nothing happens. Steam says the game is playing, but it is not. I cannot stop it except with Task Manager (by killing a "pso2.exe").

Is that a known problem? I haven't changed my settings when I moved, so the only thing I think might have changed is my Internet connection, which is really subpar now.

I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it (took over 20 hours ), and still nothing.

Any bright ideas, please?

you need to install the game on C because Windows try to get acces to youre game folder only evry time over C if it gets no rights to see or use youre game folder it cant runn it perfectly try to reinstall it ond C that worked for me, and use Tweaker that helpet alot.

I ran the game fine installed to D or F with the MS Store, the tweaker, and Steam, so install location should have nothing to do with this. Even moving the steam version's install location to a different drive fixes itself by re-installing. I know this has been an issue specifically with the MS Store version, so I'm not familiar with why this is happening to you with the Steam version.

Eh? This is nonsense. You can install the game on any drive you like. All of my games are installed on a separate drive.

Seems like this can happen regardless of the version you use.

yeh it because of both ms and steam lacking in those varieties of extra option in their launcher that players cant do anything if it decide to stop work for them suddenly.

It's weird, because this is the exact same problem that I've had with the Arks Layer standalone character creator, which I used before the Steam release. It didn't have GameGuard and it was installed on the C drive, so I don't think these would apply to the full game either. The only thing I still haven't tried was running the game directly through Steam, but I can't get it to recognize the install I already have. Or rather, it does recognize it, but Steam then immediately tries to redownload the whole game anyway. I probably brought that on myself for first downloading the game through Tweaker instead of Steam.

Sorry for rambling for so long, I'm just frustrated. I will continue to bump my own thread instead of yours.

It is a weird problem. This may be a stretch, but maybe try plugging your screen to a different port, or going from one screen to two and vice versa... The only thing that changed in my setup that might have made the game go nuts is that I went from two screens to one.

Thank you for the suggestions, but I'm sure that nothing in my setup changed when the character creator nor the full game broke. I only have one monitor and I never switched to a different one nor had multiple connected at the same time, so I can't do anything with the option to change the video output, the only thing listed there is what you showed in your screenshot. I wish I could try a different port, but my monitor only has one DVI and one HDMI. My pc uses the DVI port, and the HDMI is already being used. I can't change it just for one game.
I don't get why the game would break when nothing in my hardware has changed, and I don't think there was any game update at the time. There was actually a Tweaker update, but since so few people have had this problem I doubt that that update is what caused it.

So, I had this problem just now. It looks like there was an update (game AND GameGuard) that I wasn't picking up in Steam (even after a reboot). I use PSO2 Tweaker and tried the various fixes it has but nothing worked, which looks like it was due to connection issues. I'm east coast US and used a VPN to connect to the west coast then was able to launch PSO2 and update/run without any issues.

I am also in the eastern US. I just tried using TunnelBear; not sure where it connected to in the US, but it didn't work.
