- More stable, and higher FPS than GameGuard
- Occasional lag spikes that freeze the game for 2 - 5 seconds, compared to almost non-stop <1 second lag spikes with GameGuard
- There are a lot less lag spikes while moving around (smoother object loading)
Game does seem to run slightly smoother however it takes longer time to launch the game.

They just allowed people to keep to GG through the compatibility mode in the launcher options. So anyone who hasn't even clicked on anything other than "START GAME" in the launcher would be on Wellbia since it was implemented.
What Sega is removing now is the option to use GG, moving everyone to Wellbia. So if you have been playing without the compatibility check for this long and you have not noticed any changes since then (slower performance since November, odd PC behaviors, some dictatorial military showing up at your home asking about those embarrassing pics that you store in your PC), then you should be fine. Yes, it's a bit odd that the software stays always on (if what people say is true), but I least I haven't had any issues, and I'm truly certainly definitely not writing this message at gun point...
EDIT: had to allow the pso2.exe in the sub subfolder through the firewall.
I am pretty sure you have Facebook or Instagram like 90% of the poppulation. What about girls that put their face on the internet? These people even type nasty stuff in private messages but they have no idea that content moderators can access everything whenever they want to.
Everything takes you information these days, you can't even watch a youtube video without agreeing to cookies.
You can always buy a cheap laptop and use it only for work and payments without installing any applications or video games in it.
Oh...
but given that people somehow found a way to enable PvP in this game, maybe it's justified (assuming it actually does something about these behaviors and is not a rootkit).
