NGS is making Sega money so why are you asking them to stop making money?
PS is a money making franchise, nothing more. You may not like it but it is what it is.
PS was a money making franchise since 2012 at the very latest if not earlier. PSO2 was apparently the same kind of crap that NGS is right now, we apparently only got to see PSO2 in a better state when it came over here and the veterans jeer at anyone complaining about NGS because PSO2 did the exact same thing.
Things are being civil right now.
You are making a lot of assumptions as if Sega aren't liking what is going on and that there are troubles within the company when neither are necessarily true.
I honestly think that Sega does not want to revisit the previous games before PSO because those games are what could be considered to be Final Fantasy clones. Sure you mention a remake but that is a lot more effort than just making more costumes to throw up at the gambling machine.
Might do you some good to keep things less personal, trust me that is the more healthier way to go about things and just accept things as they are. Maybe find another game or series that will respect your time and effort.
I dunno why but really basic turn based RPGs really bore me like Dragon Quest and older FF games, and it really says something when a game like DQ11 has features to make the game go faster or to avoid battles for a time, almost like it's a low point of the game, even though the game is designed around it.
Don't get me wrong, I like DQ11 and I think it's pretty cool but if any game has really basic turn-based combat it gets hard for me to stay invested.
So a remake of the original Phantasy Star games with an Action RPG aspect would be ideal.
Like I said Sega will take the path of least resistance and not only that but their interest in the entire PS franchise seems to be at an all time low. How many scratches are there for costumes of the previous franchises, I am honestly asking this question? Sure an action RPG style of the previous PS games could be good, great even but good games aren't necessarily money makers.
Also you should only speak for yourself, you seem to talk from a point of emotion and that you know how things are supposed to be based on how you feel. I personally don't care about the franchise to be invested in any sort of remake but the reason I am putting you down is more on how things are than how I feel things should be.
It might be easier to go with the older style armors and such, but it really depends if Sega decides to try this and how much time they are willing to put into it.
Oh right, Hyenas was that one game that looked terrible right?
It's funny because lately I've been thinking the same thing.
I would have liked a remake of Phantasy Star 4 with a Trials style...
I recently have gotten into the Mana series and I'm wondering why I haven't done so sooner.
Still trying to beat Secret of Mana on the Switch Collection and trying to decide whether or not to play the remake or the original Trials.
I did Trials of Mana a few years ago (the remake) and it was very good. I never knew the originals.
And I dont think sega cares about NGS, the money they are making they are using on other games like sonic and now all the new remaster/remake, remember that PSO team was working at sonic frontier
