So about the new story mission

PSO2 base was kinda funny about the guardian's weapons, since you either didn't have ANY weapon, or you had EVERY weapon xD

Also not sure if I liked this new chapter because it was interesting on its own merit, or because it was threatening to return to the good old days and the nostalgia-tinted goggles started fogging up. Maybe a bit of both. Hopefully more of the former.

But I do miss a lot of base's NPCs...
I would not be upset if they half-ass shoehorned them back into the game.
I mean we've time travelled before.

Im not a fan of PSO2 story/characters, and I dont like NGS story/characters either but I really dont like when they bring old characters because the new ones are not doing good, I mean as a event or a filler side story its ok but in the main story...
But maybe they are not going to bring it back and are just showing memories of it.

Oh! I knew I was forgetting something. I did 3 or 4 runs of Nameless City yesterday and called it. I guess it can't hurt to hit level cap before seeing what this tiny fragment of story has for me. Don't know anything about Matoi, though. I never did Classic's story, unfortunately.

Matoi was the main character in the classic, not only that but the main romance of the player, there was other romances for the player but Matoi was the biggest one

Makes sense. The only people still playing this game are the coomers of the world. Why not bring back one of the classic "waifu" so they can coom out money to sega some more?

Oh shat, I forgot to report back after finishing the quest, I was so lost in the Primm sword(its sarcasm) I actually did a urgent quest and forgot to go back...
Ok ... After watching I can say that a 9 year old is writing the story, dont get me wrong, Im not waiting for the best story ever but come on.

Zephetto: So you know that enemy, yea he is the most powerful being in the universe that can destroy everything and eat everything, and he destroyed every world and planet... but dont worry you are guardian da best of DA BEST THE STRONGEST THING ALIVE go kill him!

Im not going to be surprise if they just discover that the ARKs of the past send the guardian to the future to get stronger and have a fighting chance

I don't know what "coomers" means, but I still play because might as well. You can't uninstall NGS and just keep base.
You are also dramatically simplifying the emotional bond the Guardian and Matoi build up over the course of their time together.

So I saw the story and while a fight or two were kind of fun, it was actually less than the low I expected. I said in another thread that this game could drop the story and combat and become a social dress up game, and most of the players currently online would stay for it. Maybe just keep the combat as an optional side activity for people who want to mindlessly press attack and see entire species disappear under their swords or whatever. But as story goes, the more like this chapter I see in this game, the more I think that's the direction it should take.
