New Max Level equipment handouts again?

Logged in after maintenance, got lv 80 armor and weapons, not only fully upgraded but with better augments than i was aware we had access to, everything i own is now junk (trashing the octo armor i was planning to spec)

oh and without even knowing these handouts were coming, it all went into temporary storage and overrode / deleted a bunch of base PSO2 items that were sitting there

It's per character, you can get it again on a new character as long as you reach level 65 for that class. E.g F2P players can 3 sets of weapons per class...

But it's pretty hard for items to get dumped into "temp" storage considering you have 100 inventory space, 200 default space and 300 character space... When you switch to all 10 lv 65+ classes, you can get at most 20 different weapons and 3 armor pieces per character. E.g I have about 40 weapons and 9 armor pieces...

You must be a real hardcore hoarder of junk, and I have a extended, default, mission pass and character storage and only managed to fill up extended and mission pass completely with base PSO2 stuff+various NGS cosmetics...

The given gear is weaker than properly augmented existing gear. E.g My octo is stronger as well as my main character weapons. However I play all classes, so I appreciate being able to use all my classes to clear Solus 4 man easily.

They are not better, they are made for you to start farming in leciel, octo is better though, but you will need to invest, so yea, better wait for a new armor if you dont want to BiS

They actually was spamming about this to try and get new player to play and people to come back, and if you lost what you had in the temporary its your own fault, its temporary, not only that but the game only gives you the waepon of your MAIN class, if you change to a new class that is already over level 65 you will get the new weapon because its a task

Yep, you get to level 65 and you will get everything to start doing "endgame", what sega want is people to go farm for BiS and wait for the next big difficult boss they will release day 13, I dont care about that boss so its not a content for me, even the reward is trash "bracelet-shaped accessory with a Dark Falz Aegis motif".

Well you not knowing is the problem here, been using LC(Leciel) aug since leciel was dropped in august with octo armor and Verschmelz weapon series, and that's what you get from the level 65 weapon and armor
Not only that but leciel can now drop Flugelgard the new weapon serie, so yea

You'll have to struggle to find a good group, beat the boss just... for a bracelet

Dont worry, u will get that same bracelet in 3 months later, but with red colour this time.
Just like how they hands out everything now, lc caps, octo and verchemel.

Oh btw we increase the drop rate for tisah and flugel, but we still wont let ur ♥♥♥♥ ass getting a tisah or flugelgard in reasonably. This time instead of 10 people getting it, there will be 11 people getting it as a drop.

Its funny this sh1thead company want us to skip stuff and farm the BiS imidiately, but the BiS itself is technically close to imposible to get.

SEGA has been doing this for more than 10 years, If you haven't noticed.
I won't say no to better equipment tho, poor those guys farming days and nights for nothingness, SEGA will never values their invested grind time since they only value paid customers.

not quite, but almost, they only care for the whales, those uber rare item is pretty much glorified Cash item. They want the whales buy out their gacha to be able to get those items.

I mostly play to collect fashion. Spending meseta to gearing up your weapons and armor isn't that rewarding tbh. Melek series? wtf was that? I should've just sold my day 1 sword drop.

The lv.65 welfare stuff they gave out current update is nuts. Seasonal stuff was good but I'm throwing in the towel here. Have a complete collection because all my classes were maxed. I was partial to my old ajax. They give way better HP/PP but new armor potency is too good to pass up. Edit: Huh, so my ajax were better. Difference in potency was that I wasn't using the tripible II.

I understand bosses are a team effort. If my party is geared = I'm geared. It's just frustrating doing anything with LC capsules and wasting money on something that's not the "rare boss drop". Global base game did this too. So yeah, have fun with fashion.

These catch-up events are fascinating to me because you get the complaints from the sweatier players of, "why are these new players running such bad gear/augments on their gear?" when their clear times become obnoxiously long from a ten-minute fight into a thirty-minute fight and you get the extremely defensive players demanding, "let me play the game my way, go play in your own groups" while they run full sets of gear and capsules that go against the goal of the game (such as those who run a high damage-resistance build without damage potency or the people who still fixate on potency floor on series like the Verschmelz series).

This is one of Sega's easiest solutions that was reliable even for the older game; to literally spoonfeed players with premade equipment that's far more than capable for casual content and a neat entry into the newer and more "anticipated" upcoming content.

If you were already farming and already have the best-of-the-best, this isn't a threat to you anyways. If you were trying to make bank selling the latest-and-greatest gear, this is still not a threat to you anyways because this gear is simply a step through the door for players who are fatigued with grinding through all the smaller steps.

Octo fixa 1 is better than the free ones, but Verschmelz fixa 1 is worse than the free one.

So unless you are planning to spent 50 million meseta to buy a high fixa Melek or 10*, the free weapon is better than any other alternative.

Farming was for idiots all along. I remember telling some alliance mates a year ago that its ok not to invest in gearing up seriously cause it never matters. Of course they were try had no lifers and insisted that you do and should waste resources on gearing despite sega dumping crap like this on us routinely at holidays and "events".

Thing is in PSO2 the difference between hand out gear and BiS wasnt just min-maxing like in NGS. Hell i have seen people in Stia do as good with Kaizaar as others with the BiS weapons. Try that in base.

Its the game design problem. Be honest with me, what there is left to play on this game at this point?
There could be a normal progression, where u felt rewarded getting stronger, but sega pretty much tell us "go play the latest content" and doesnt even give them a proper drop rate or reward, but keep pushing it that way, It just doesnt make any ♥♥♥♥♥♥ sense.

Like legit i would prefer killing some dread enemies or doing some pse burst rn after playing leciel for 2 hours, but almost no one is there, why? yeah because everyone is on ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rank 2 leciel, that sega pushing. And it takes 10 minute to find 4 people to matchmaking against 4man solus in ship1, 5 minute if u lucky, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ hell.
Btw no one give a ♥♥♥♥ about purple trigger aswell, because their loots and reward still ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Its proper reward system that question able, not the reward itself.
If this were real life, its equivalent of, here 100$ buck a month from goverment, now make a bussiness that able to create 1M $ profit a month. And btw, there is nothing else u can do, other than keep trying making those startup.
