how grindy is this ?
It looks cool but I'm more of a time constrained player these days. Am I better off avoiding this one?

Every seasonal event the devs gives away easily obtainable gear enough to play current content.

But if your the type of player who insist on bigger numbers is better gameplay then your going to grind and spend even more time and ingame money to make the perfect equipment, until the next update.

There is not much of a grind at all in this game as most of the daily gameplay is typically done within minutes and if you were worried about missing out on rewards and cosmetics, Sega tends to recycle and revive many of them every now and then (however, collaborations might not come back but will still be obtainable if there is stock in the Personal Shops).

It's very casual unless you trying to minmax best you can. There are always casual sets of gear/weps that are easily attainable and slightly better chase gear. They give away catch up gear all the time too.

Like everyone else has said: Unless you're trying to get super-duper 100% max everything you can play just fine putting in an hour here or there.

Thanks for the answers! Is it good on deck?

If by deck you mean the Steam Deck, the game is absolutely playable if you either are using Proton-GE or enable case-folding in the game's folder. You can do either or both - but the game's performance will be astronomically better as a result. The game has a great deal of tiny files that Linux tries to "look" for that don't exist due to the nature of case-sensitivity in Linux that the game's engine doesn't take into account that Proton-GE and/or case-folding will immediately solve.

well if you want all good weapons then yes grindy. otherwise to get to current endgame its not. the event will get you neos very fast or you can grind for gunblaze which is a few les dps in exchange for pp regen. had a friend take a week to catch up from launch week and took them a week...but they were side tracked with story and looking for titles and that. as for next set i am quite sure will be grindy. small addition - you can get by without the grindy but you wont be top geared or top dps, have maybe 100 over the req bp for everything. trick for grindy bits is to hit the game hard (if possible) for the first week and it falls off after that. after 2 gl catching up
