Yeah. Man I really wish they were separate downloads because as time goes on I view them more and more as completely different games. I feel like base PSO2 would have a decently large playerbase still if you weren't required to dl NGS
We have already discussed this. Pointlessly. You don't think all of the content SEGA eliminated from PSO2 was "core content" and therefore wasn't an attempt to kill PSO2 to make NGS look better.
I disagree with you and have already said why before. I won't bother again.
It's the same type of content that they removed with PSO2, they could remove with NGS just fine. They didn't do it because SEGA doesn't want people playing PSO2 instead of NGS, because they have some authoritarian ideology and don't like people doing things they weren't told to do.
The engine is maybe a few hundred megabytes, not seventy gigabytes.
Salty-chan is salty
Has anybody ever told you that you're insufferable and an instigator? because if not I'll be honored to be the first.
Base PSO2 was working just fine with the updated engine before NGS came out. It didn't need anything from NGS.
The shared engine code is shared, and still present. They removed the contents files, and could do the same to NGS to let people play Classic. Heck, they might even get away with a SteamDeck Playable rating.
