I hear you. It's the look common in games like Cyberpunk 2077. Partly humanoid, but metal in some areas, like having a synthetic jaw and mechanical joints. The face is somewhat workable, if you have access to things like glowing eyes and makeup that imply artificial skin.

The closest you get something like this for T1 body is to use a human outfit, then play around with certain body paints and accessories.

I swear at one point I saw a body paint in the scratch that adds a black glossy metal finish to your fists, complete with textured ball-joints on the fingers. Pretty much gorilla arms.

Because there's only ever like 4 male CAST parts across all the scratch tickets at any given time and they're so rare and so niche they cost more than creating basically any other type of character in the Personal Shops. Basically, it's by design because SEGA wants to funnel you into playing dress-up with your waifu.

thats a reasonable answer, but i dont think they funnel people on purpose, designing a good cast is actually way harder than designing a robot android waifu, wayyy wayy more.

"waifu crowd" is... well, rather easy to make happy most of the time.

I like some pretty casts dont get me wrong, but the design of male casts surpasses a lot the complexity of the majority of female casts ive seen in pso2 and ngs.
Then you got cans.

The solution is to make t2 outfits t1 too like dresses and stuff, we need to spread the religion of femboys, I believe in femboy supremacy. Please sega more femboys

What are you on about? Have you seen T1 Waist lines in some of these parts? They're thinner than T2s.

Most casts just go max size or try to copy a gundam or another anime roboto
Nope.

I just like playing girls in video games :(

Did play a max height muscular guy with a ponytail in Kurtzpel tho cause i didn't like how girls looked in that game.

Severe lack of CAST parts. Too many recolors, not enough unique pieces.
Far more female cast parts than male.
Base PSO2 not only had better scratches but even had cast focused ones in the past.
It's clear where the focus has gone since the relaunch.

And yet thats why male cast are usually wayy more interesting to me when done well than the "counterpart". I barely see proper cast females.

In fact I think in ngs, cast females users are not cast anymore.
Most of them have no idea about design and don't stand out at all.
Played only one week and came back to original PSO2, but that's what ive seen so far.

Seeing a male cast really stands out from the rest.

in Ngs, I barely see Newmans and Casts idk, they all look pretty human or complete furries, pretty mid.

I may be guilty of lack of originality. My brain has been fizzling in the design department for a long while now. So other than my epic eyebrow evil rappy, the rest of my stuff is as generic as it can get...
Squishy Jun 26, 2023 @ 11:40pm
I mainly play as a Rappy and customization as one is abysmal for the most part due to proportions, size shenanigans and lack of actual phashion support in the salon for them. It's not fun. Even my Rappy CAST outfits leave much to be desired because of this.

At least I can run around in a go kart, plane, car, jet, tank, bike, helicopter or as a Gundam.

I have to dedicate a good 4+ hours on just one of my more complex designs because SEGA has such terrible salon support for the Rappy Suit Mini. I still can't get some looks I've spent days trying to rig together actually work and look good.

But you better believe when I'm able to rig stuff together, it looks damn good.

My character is a Newman. She has pointy ears.

A newman is way more than just pointy ears tho.

So far I think Ive only seen 1 proper newman, NGs feels really empty.
Maybe at high lvl things changes, but so far, its tons of nasty "female" human/monster quasimodos running around naked.

Classic has so much more variety.

I mean.. If monster mash is in vogue, I think that's variety. I know a CAST that roleplays as a DOLL and they're really good at it.

Deformed and underwhelming nasty quasimodos with the tits out is not what I would call variety, and its very hard to look at, not just because its ugly, but because it has nothing to do with the game or its personal art.
